Shop and compare price and value before purchasing. NMK does not sell restaurant
appliances. You can preview the websites above to find prices, dimensions, weight,
electrical specs, and more. For further appliance information, call the stores first, and
then call us at NMK to review your options. Once your initial selections are made, NMK’s
design staff will work with you to refine your list to best serve your menu, the truck
space and your work flow requirements.
TRUCK SELECTION NOTES: NMK carefully tracks an active inventory of pre-owned Step
Van trucks through local dealers. Whether you purchase on your own or through one of
NMK’s network of dealers, the following guidelines should help in selecting your truck –
especially if you are purchasing a truck the NMK is not already familiar with:
For practical purposes, Minimum interior cargo area dimensions (for Food Trucks
requiring exhaust hoods) are recommend should be 14’ to 18’ length, 78” width, and 6’
6” interior ceiling height minimum. Sound vehicle body and road-worthy mechanical
condition are important. Take careful measurements of the truck interior, plus the
measurement between the ground and underside of truck floor. Make careful note of
Vehicle make/model, year, mileage and GVW (gross vehicle weight). You are
encouraged to email digital photos to info@nwmobilekitchens.com before purchasing.
Please limit pictures to 2 exterior (right side and rear), 2 interior, and 2 of the
undercarriage. Then call NMK to discuss your proposed truck purchase as a fit for your
appliances.
Note: For non-cooking trucks not requiring exhaust hoods (ex: Coffee & vending only
trucks) the vehicle dimensions are more flexible – but please call us ahead of purchase
to discuss your vehicle choice.
NMK Design Phase: Once the customer’s truck is selected, as-built drawings of the truck
must be created, followed by an exchange of floor plan layout proposals from NMK to
the Customer via email. Once the customer approves the floor Plan layout, NMK will
proceed to complete the full Plan Set. Customer flexibility with equipment consolidation
is important.
Food Truck Outfitting Phase includes: structural reinforcing, interior insulation &
washable white aluminum wall/ ceiling covering, non-skid aluminum flooring, 3 comp &
hand sinks/faucets/water tanks & pump, electrical system, exhaust hood & roof fan,
service window awnings with sliding glass, doors, rear entry door as needed and
stainless exterior service shelves.
Specialty (independent) vendor work immediately follows, including fire suppression,
generator installation, propane lines and tanks, and finally, appliance installation. All
NMK Food Truck work is performed by licensed technicians.
Customer Responsibility: The customer is responsible for conformance with all State
and local Health Dept. laws and rules related to the safe and legal operation of the
customer’s Food Truck. NMK is well acquainted with Oregon, Washington and Alaska
Food Truck requirements, and is happy to work with customers throughout the US and
other countries.
