A: $20.99 per unit of residence per month, plus applicable taxes Q: How much is the commercial fee? A: A minimum of $28.80 for one container; extra charge for each additional container. Q: Can the fee be removed? A: Only for commercial accounts, residential fees remain unless water service is discontinued. Q: Is there any kind of adjustments for unoccupied residential units? A: Yes, a partial credit of $6.83 per month for accounts that are both unoccupied and are not using any solid waste services. 2 Q: Is there a discount of any kind for seniors? A: Currently the only discount is based on income, not age. Contact one of the Neighborhood Alert Centers for more information. Q: Is residential garbage service required? A: Yes, City ordinance #19,087 requires City to provide these services for houses, single family homes, and apartments. Q: Am I allowed to have more than one cart? A: Yes, each additional cart will be another $7 per month. Q: What do I do if I live in the City but don’t have water service? A: Non-metered accounts are billed directly from the Solid Waste Office on a quarterly basis. The fees are identical. 3
