Application procedure for a studies NON EU candidate:
1.
The candidate should upload to system these documents:
.1.1.
Duly completed and signed LiepU application form for admission;
.1.2.
Secondary
(High)
School
graduation
Certificate
and
Transcript.
Education documents must be accompanied by English translations of all
certificates and transcripts along with approval of documents;
.1.3.
Bachelor degree or other equivalent qualifications (official transcripts
required). Education documents must be accompanied by English
translations of all certificates and transcripts along with approval of
documents;
.1.4.
Order certifying payment of application fee 150 EUR, which is nonrefundable to the Liepaja University account *;

.1.5.
Official certificate of English language knowledge;
.1.6.
Copy of passport all pages;
.1.7.
One photo 3cm x4 cm;
.1.8.
Motivation letter;
.1.9.
Europass: Curriculum Vitae.
LiepU evaluate’s applicant documents (within 3 working days) and if the application
is eligible, Applicant receives Conditional acceptance letter and applicant education
documents are sent for academic recognition to AIC (www.aic.lv ) (it takes about 1
month).
3.
At the same time applicants take the test of Mathematics (just for Bachelors) and/or
English.
4.
Skype interview with all applicants.
5.
After receiving approval from AIC (www.aic.lv) LiepU send’s via regular mail to
applicant:

.5.1.
Study agreement (2 originals);
.5.2.
Hostel rent agreement (2 originals);
.5.3.
Copy of AIC approval;
.5.4.
Admission letter.
Applicant:
.6.1.
Signe Hostel rent and Study agreement (2 originals of both agreements);
.6.2.
Transfer study fee of first year to LiepU account*;
.6.3.
Payment order, one original of Study and Hostel rent agreement,
documents mentioned in point 1.1., 1.2. and/or 1.3., copy of legalised Police
clearance and Bank statement send’s by regular mail to LiepU*
7.
Representative of LiepU require invitation of visa in The Office of Citizenship and
Migration Affairs (PMLP) submitting these documents;
.7.1.
Invitation letter of LiepU;
.7.2.
Passport copy (all pages); Study agreement, Hostel rent agreement,
Police clearance, and Bank statement.
.7.3.

Payment order of State fee (www.pmlp.gov.lv );
After receiving confirmation of invitation of PMLP(becomes valid in 2 days), LiepU
representative sends invitation number to applicant;
9.
After receiving invitation number applicant appoints the visit and submit in
Embassy of the Republic of Latvia these documents;
.9.1.
Valid travel document (passport);
.9.2.
Application form filled out and signed (www.pmlp.gov.lv);
.9.3.
1 photo 3x4 cm;
.9.4.
Document of evidence subsistence (bank statement) for one year (min
370 EUR/month);
.9.5.
Legalized statement on criminal record (police clearance) issued by a
competent institution of the citizenship or the host country (for a foreigner
more than 14 years old), if a foreigner has resided in that country longer
than 12 months;
.9.6.
Hostel rent agreement;
.9.7.
Study agreement;
.9.8.
Copy of AIC approval;
.9.9.
Payment order of State fee (www.pmlp.gov.lv );
10. PMLP check submitted documents in two month’s;
11. After decision making PMLP sends:
.11.1.
Original of decision to applicant;
.11.2.
Original of decision to LiepU.
12. If PMLP decision is:
.12.1.
Positive, then LiepU informs applicant that he can get visa label in
Latvian Diplomatic representation of embassy (Closer information in issuing
institution of visa);
.12.2.
Negative, then LiepU in 10 working days reimburse to applicant study fee
of the first study year (transaction expenses is non-refundable) after
receiving refund application form.
13. Student arrival:
.13.1.
In a corporation with a representative of LiepU require resident permit in
The Office of Citizenship and Migration Affairs (PMLP) in first 7 days from
arrival day in Latvia. Student shall present a valid travel document admitted
in the Republic of Latvia and submit the following documents:
.13.1.1.1.
Statement on fluorography or x-ray examining results;
.13.1.1.2.
Document confirming that the applicant has a health insurance
policy.
