Junior Project Guidelines As part of the Pioneer Career and Technology Center curriculum, all students are required to complete a research project. Senior projects help provide students with an opportunity to demonstrate skills in a career-related interest area. In preparation for the Senior Project, junior students are required to complete a research paper in the English classroom. The project is completed in the second semester of the junior year and has specific guidelines for all students. Argumentative/Persuasive Topics: Individual instructor’s discretion. Junior paper topics can be lab-related but MUST BE approached in a different way in the senior year if topics are re-visited. Senior English instructors may require students to submit copies of junior papers. 7-9 Total pages: Title Page Abstract 3-5 pages of text Graphics page – one page with 1-2 RELEVANT graphics cited, listed with references & mentioned in text Reference List APA documentation: 3 sources minimum 3 types of sources minimum Presentation: Formal or Reflective - format & requirements left to instructor’s discretion Reflection: Important component in preparation for Senior Project Recommendations include completing after written conclusion, after presentation, exam grade, etc. FAILURE TO COMPLETE THE RESEACH PROJECT PREVENT ADVANCEMENT IN CAREER-TECHNICAL PROGRAMS.
