Infectious Disease Research Institute (IDRI) SAS Programmer/Biostatistician The Infectious Disease Research Institute (IDRI), a non-profit organization based in Seattle, Washington, is committed to developing vaccines and diagnostic tools for use in the developing world. We are seeking a SAS Programmer/Biostatistician to support our growing efforts in clinical development of vaccine candidates in the United States, Peru, Brazil, Colombia, India and other countries. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Prepare clinical trial tables and listings to industry standard using SAS. Oversee management of databases and perform QC/QA checks. Develop and review statistical sections of clinical trial protocols and write statistical analysis plans and statistical sections of clinical trial reports. Work with the clinical project manager and data management team in the development of case report forms. Work with the clinical development team in the design of clinical trials. Analyze, interpret, and report clinical trial data. Consult as needed with laboratory scientists regarding design and analysis of biomedical experiments. QUALIFICATIONS: MS degree in Statistics or Biostatistics. 3 or more years of SAS programming experience with at least 1 year programming clinical trial data. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Expertise in SAS programming and statistics, and working knowledge of medical/scientific terminology. Experience in applied clinical research statistics in support of pharmaceuticals and/or biologics product development; familiarity with clinical trial methodology preferred. Experience in writing reports for the FDA helpful. Strong oral and written communication skills and attention to detail. Ability to effectively manage several projects simultaneously and incorporate input from other team members. Experience working with high dimensional biomedical data (e.g., microarray, genomic or immune assay data) preferred. IDRI offers a competitive salary and generous benefits package.
