The 2 nd State-wide Turkish Olympiad will be held at the UH Cullen Performance Hall on April 5 th , 2008.
The students and parents who would like to watch the competition in Houston will leave the HSA School building on Saturday, April 5 th at 9:30 AM. The transportation fee will be $10 per person.
Please contact Mr. Bayar if you would like to come to Houston to watch this event.
EARTH DAY – KEEP HARMONY SCIENCE ACADEMY BEAUTIFUL
Would you like to help with Earth Day? We will be celebrating Earth Day at HSA the week of April 21 st through April 25 th . Each homeroom will be helping to plant flowers. Also, we will have a tree planting ceremony. We are looking for volunteers to help raise money for a tree, donate plants, bring tools and help students with the planting. Please contact Mr. Bayar if you think you can help with our Earth Day celebration! Please help us to keep our school beautiful: donate trees, flowers, soil, seeds, and tools.

8 th GRADE STUDENTS - TAKS TEST on Monday, April 7 th
TAKS testing time has come. On April 7 th , 8 th grade students will take the Math TAKS test. We are confident that our students are ready. Students and teachers alike have been working rigorously since the beginning of the school year to master the skills needed to be successful on the TAKS tests. Please read the TAKS Taking Tips.
Welcome to the 2008 ExxonMobil Texas Science and Engineering Fair
Harmony Science Academy-Austin is participating in the 2008 ExxonMobil Texas Science and Engineering Fair with distinguished projects in the Math, Science, Computer, and Engineering categories. Here is the schedule: Thursday, April 10th is student registration;
Friday, April 11th is judging; and Saturday, April 12th is the awards ceremony.
We congratulate all of our students, parents and teachers who contributed to the Science Fair. Good luck in the State Science Fair.
March 2008 Reading TAKS Scores are Released
March 2008 TAKS Reading Test scores are released. All of the 8
TAKS. In addition, 57% of the 8 th th grade students passed the reading section of the
graders earned a commended score. Congratulations and thanks to all of the 8 th graders, their teachers and parents for a job well done.
PROM 2008
"Midnight Masquerade" will be the theme for Prom 2008. It will be held on May 10 th from 8 pm to midnight at the Howard Johnson Hotel
Ballroom. You have ONLY 2 chances to buy your ticket. This week's pre-sale is your first chance! During the pre-sale, tickets will cost $20.
After this week, tickets will not be available until the week of the prom. At that time, the tickets will cost $30. Save $10 and buy your ticket this week!

ANNUAL CAREER FAIR
HSA and the HSA PTO are organizing a Career Fair for our students on Saturday, April 12, 2008 from 9:00-12:30 pm. Speakers from various occupations will come to talk to our students about their experiences. We invite all of our students to this program. Students who participate in this event will be rewarded with a free dress day the following Monday, April 14, 2008.
COMMUNITY SERVICE
