POSITION TITLE: Technical Supervisor (Job # 53633)
POSITION SUMMARY
This position provides general operational supervision under the direction of the director/manager to
assigned personnel. Responsible for organizing, directing and controlling workflow aspects of the section
in order to improves processes to provide high quality and cost effective services.
SCOPE AND COMPLEXITY
Supervisory responsibility of providing quality, timely, reliable and consistent services. Internal and
external customers include laboratory staff, hospital staff, pathologists, medical directors, physician’s
offices, patients, vendors, regulatory agencies and educational facilities. Confers with director/manager
for unusual situations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must possess a strong knowledge of healthcare as normally obtained through the completion of
bachelor’s degree. Certification as a medical technologist under ASCP, NCA or equivalent as defined
under CLIA ’88 regulations. Must have at least four years of experience in their field with at least two
years in their technical specialty. Previous management experience or participation in management
training programs is required. A significant understanding and knowledge of commonly used concepts,
practices and procedures of different software programs is required. Oral/written communication skills,
analytical/strategic skills. Must possess the ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
Must posses a valid driver’s license and be eligible for coverage under the company auto insurance
policy. Fingerprinting required if working in Blood Bank Department.

POSITION TITLE: Customer Service Assistant Supervisor (Job #s 56758 & 56762)
POSITION SUMMARY
Provides quality customer service and effective communications between immediate staff,
customers/clients and other departments in the billing area. Assists, resolves and reports any problems
to supervisor regarding the day to day operations in the department. Provides coaching to staff as
needed, under the guidance of supervisor. Provides ongoing education and constructive feedback to the
customer service team.

POSITION TITLE: Phlebotomist (several positions listed on-line)
POSITION SUMMARY
This position may be located within a Hospital facility, Patient Service Center, IOP, or Long Term Care
Department. This position is responsible for the collection and receipt of biological specimens into the
department, their proper entry into the company’s computer system, the preparation of samples for
analytical testing and/or the distribution of these specimens to the proper analytical area. Follows the
guidelines of the Code of Conduct. All employees are responsible for (1) supporting the Company’s goals
and mission, (2) for following all Company policies and procedures, (3) for providing quality customer
service, and (4) for following safety standards in performing all aspects of the functions below,
reporting/removing unsafe equipment and attending safety education sessions.
SCOPE AND COMPLEXITY
Departmental responsibility. Internal customers – all employees of the lab system. External customers –
patients, physicians, nurses, office personnel, other healthcare professionals, and vendors.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum age requirement of 18. Must exhibit a high level of personal maturity and responsibility. Good
reading, writing and math abilities are required. Oral and written communication skills sufficient to
understand written and spoken instructions in English. Good organizational skills are also required.
Basic knowledge of department resource materials. Previous experience of at least six months in a
clinical laboratory setting or completion of a phlebotomy school. Basic computer skills required.
Knowledge of medical terminology preferred. Long Term Care requires ADHS fingerprinting certification
or the ability to obtain fingerprint certification. Field Operations Float position employees must be able to
work all PSC or Client Office shift times within their designated territory. LTC has an emphasis to have
experience with geriatric patients and also must possess a valid Arizona Drivers License.

POSITION TITLE: Medical Technologist (several positions listed on-line)
POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for performing all essential functions of Testing Level IV as defined by the
department. In addition, this position is responsible for a high level of technical knowledge and
application of that knowledge to department testing, clinical relevance, and complex problem solving
skills. This position serves as a department resource, and is responsible for assisting with department
compliance with all pertinent laboratory accrediting agency and regulatory requirements (e.g., CLIA ’88,

Customer - Nurses, physicians, office personnel, vendors, etc.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
MT (United States certification - ASCP or equivalent) certification, a Bachelor’s degree in a chemical or
biological science preferred OR a student in a recognized MT program that has completed their clinical
rotation in the area of hire and will receive MT (ASCP or equivalent) certification within 1 year completion
of the program, OR MT certification from another country and will receive United States certification
(ASCP or equivalent) within one year of hire OR specialty certification in department’s area, a Bachelor’s
degree in a chemical or biological science preferred OR a Bachelor’s Degree in Medical
Technology/Clinical Laboratory Science and will receive MT (ASCP or equivalent) certification within 1
year completion of the program OR one year prior on-site experience as Testing Level IV with exceptional
skills, highly developed interpersonal skills, Level 3 performance assessment, and passing of on-site
competency/criteria as defined by the department. Individuals with specialty certification may only work in
the discipline of their specialty. Demonstrates behaviors consistent with those identified as Company
core behaviors. Demonstrates excellent problems solving skills, and high level of self-motivation.

POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for the receipt of biological specimens into the department, their proper entry
into the company’s computer system, the preparation of samples for analytical testing, the distribution of
these specimens to the proper analytical area, and archiving specimens after testing.
This position reports to Specimen Processing Supervisor, and takes direction from Senior Specimen
Preparation Technicians, and Specimen Preparation Coordinators
All employees are responsible for (1) supporting the Company’s goals and mission, (2) for following all
Company policies and procedures, (3) for providing quality customer service, and (4) for following safety
standards in performing all aspects of the functions below, reporting/removing unsafe equipment and
attending safety education sessions.
SCOPE AND COMPLEXITY
Departmental responsibility only. Customers are primarily internal to the organization. Does come into
contact with outside vendors, couriers, and professionals who bring specimens to the laboratory.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum age requirement of 18. Must be a high school graduate, or have achieved equivalency through
GED exam or other means. Good reading, writing and math abilities are required. Oral and written
communication skills sufficient to understand written and spoken instructions in English. Good
organization skills are also required. Typing/keyboarding skills of minimum 20 wpm, demonstrated by
completion of a typing/keyboarding test. Must meet all training competency qualifications for Specimen
Preparation Technician within six months of hire. Six months’ experience in a laboratory or key encoding
environment is preferred. Some college preferred; experience considered in lieu of education.
