What do you (as the librarian) do for these courses? 2. Learning outcomes for that discipline (negotiated with faculty) 3. Statement of librarian’s role (negotiated with faculty) Where and how to instruct to those outcomes in number 1 above? Class? (in person) Individual research appointments? Online guides? Combination? 4. Classroom faculty role o Making research assignments o Give students opportunities to practice o Grade on quality and use of sources 5. Capstone assessment Measure in order to improve learning Means of assessment – research journals, research portfolio (demonstrating the research process), analyze bibliographies (annotated, or otherwise), other. These methods must be negotiated with the department.
