General Education Program Requirements
A. COMMON CORE
1.
Take one course in each of the following 15 boxes. If a course listed here is also a lower division requirement
for your major, it can simultaneously fulfill both requirements. Extra courses from the same box will count
as unrestricted electives or as lower division major requirements.
No more than two courses with the same alpha (alphabetic prefix such as HIST or BIOL) will count toward
the common core requirements.
Select courses that fulfill each of the 15 core requirements AND include among them a course that meets
each of the following “Cross-Theme Requirements”:
 Digital Literacy: Complete CSCI 1011 or CSCI 1041 or proficiency test

Art, Aesthetics, and Creativity: Complete any course labeled with the “*”
