1. Objective one – Practice Proficiency GOAL: The graduate will possess the knowledge,
skills and attitudes to practice competently and ethically as an entry level occupational
therapist in underserved regions and communities in Pennsylvania and beyond (OT 501)

Benchmarks for Action
1. Objective one
a. Successful completion of the Advance Clinical Competency in OT 501 with a
grade of 90% or better
b. Completed student portfolio of practice proficiency activities by OT 501 with
minimum of “C” passing grade on all activities
c. Passing scores on Level I and Level II Fieldwork evaluations (completed by
supervising clinicians)
d. Minimum pass rate of 70% on the NBCOT exam for first time test taking
graduates of the MOT Program
e. No course module grade lower than a “C”
2. Objective two
a. Successful completion of, defense and passing grade (“C” or better) on all
chapters of Scholarly Project
b. Successful completion and defense of senior Capstone project with a grade of
192/175 or better (70%)

a. Completion and passing grade (70%) or better of the Self-Development Plan
b. Passing grade in the Professional Behaviors thread in the Personal and
Professional Growth Module in all semesters of the Professional Phase

Timeline for Administration and Review
Assessment data are reviewed at the conclusion of each academic year. In addition, ongoing
during the academic year the faculty discuss any student who is struggling with a particular
practice area at monthly staff meetings to ensure consistency and detection of potential issues.
Record of Assessment Based Action for the Past Academic Year
The benchmarks set for the department objectives have served as a reliable tool for ensuring
satisfactory outcomes for the MOT program. Below are the Benchmarks set for the OT
Department and progress toward those goals as collected for last academic year:
