Title: Automated computation and batch processing for remote sensing data and applications Hongjie Xie Department of Geological Sciences at UTSA Satellite-based remote sensing data have been widely used for monitoring and modeling the global climate change and for out space studies, such as for moon and for Mars. There are big needs and challenges to automated and/or batch processing those data, such as long-term time series data, rapid and real time or near real time processing, and repeat processing. This talk presents 4 examples or areas that we developed our capability to process those data, including precipitation data, image registration, snow cover mapping, and Antarctic sea ice study.
