Welcome to the 2015 South Dakota State Fair FFA Livestock shows. We appreciate your support of FFA and the
youth programs at the state fair. This booklet contains all the information needed for the livestock shows. It is extremely
important to carefully read through the booklet so that you don’t miss any part of registration or the shows.
The entry deadline this year is August 21st. THERE IS NO LATE DEADLINE!!!!! ALL
ENTRIES ARE DUE AUGUST 21 WITH NO EXCEPTIONS. All FFA entry forms will be sent to the
FFA Livestock Superintendent. Make checks out to the South Dakota State Fair and include them with
the entry forms. You will not be sending anything to the state fair office for the FFA shows. All of this is
printed on the entry forms.
Market animals will be weighed for class breaks only. The entry form will serve as proof of ownership. By
signing the entry form, the advisor is certifying that he/she has seen the animals and they are owned by the student.
Make sure that you look at the registration times and locations. We must abide by the printed schedule so we can
get the show schedules posted in a timely manner. Showmanship will be open to everyone. We will divide the
showmanship into divisions if there are too many that come back for showmanship. I hope you have a great State Fair
and good luck in the shows.
Send in these 4 things – ENTRY FORM, ONE WAIVER, W-9, AND PAYMENT
Sincerely,
Dave VanderWal,
FFA Livestock Superintendent
