TITLE: Approved Supplier Selection/Review
PURPOSE: The purpose of this procedure is to meet TMG quality system requirements for
selection and review of approved Suppliers.
SCOPE: This procedure applies to suppliers that provide raw materials, services and products
that are manufactured.

1. PROCEDURE
1.1 Supplier Selection
1.1.1 Suppliers will be evaluated based on the criteria as noted on the Supplier/Product
Profile Form - Doc#0075.
1.1.2 Upon approval the supplier will be added to TMGs approved supplier list
Doc# 1010 or #1018. The ASL will identify the supplier and the materials, products
or services being provided. Additionally a Supplier/Factory Profile will be
requested of the supplier Doc# 1014.
1.1.3 The SFP, SPPF and ASL will be maintained by the purchasing department.
1.2 Supplier Review
1.2.1 Suppliers shall be reviewed annually per the assessment criteria on Doc# 1029.
1.2.2 Purchasing is responsible for conducting the annual assessment
1.2.3 Suppliers must achieve a composite score of 20 in order to maintain their
approved supplier status. Any supplier not achieving a composite score of 20 will
be removed from the ASL or corrective action request will be initiated. Note: A
supplier may be maintained on the ASL with a composite score less than 20 if it is
determined there is a critical need, i.e. single source, a new supplier search is in
work.
1.3 Miscellaneous
1.3.1 Once a supplier has been approved to supply a product, the supplier is
considered approved for any version of the product. Example: Supplier provides
13” wide magnet material they are also approved for variations of material widths.
