National Disaster Management Coordinating Board: BAKORNAS PBP
National coordinated arrangement for natural disasters was initiated in 1966 by the
establishment of Advisory Board for Natural Disaster Management; its activities were still
focused on emergency relief for disaster victims. In

Provides guidelines and directives on policy outlines in disaster management activities
covering prevention, mitigation, rescue, rehabilitation, and reconstruction.
Provincial Level - SATKORLAK:
Non-structural group at provincial level to coordinate the disaster management execution
within the catchments area as directed by Bakornas.
District Level - SATLAK:
Non-structural group at district level to execute the disaster execution within the
catchments as directed by the Governor/Chairman of Satkorlak.
Task Forces - SATGAS:
Disaster Management Task Force directed by person assigned by SATLAK is responsible
for executing operational activities planned and directed by Disaster Management
Executing Unit.
