If you meet the four criteria above you are eligible to apply for the European Academy of Nursing Science (EANS) Summer School Programme. What is the EANS Summer School Programme? The EANS Summer School Programme is a three year course which aims to: equip the new generation of early stage European nursing researchers with knowledge and expertise in advanced translational complex interventions research methods; enable these researchers to design, plan and implement programmatic, mixed methods and complex interventions research in nursing; create a multi-state, common European learning environment for doctoral nursing students; enhance the opportunities for doctoral students to study, work and undertake research in other European States. Participants must attend three consecutive summer schools held across Europe. Applicants will only be accepted from nurses who commit to attend all three years 2011-203. Depending on demand, at least one place is available for a participant from each of the listed countries. In year one, the summer school is two weeks long, in years two and three it is for one week. The 2011 summer school will be from 27th June to 8th July, 2011, in Lund, Sweden. Subsequent venues will be announced closer to the date. Funding: The Summer School Programme is mostly self-funded. A small amount of assistance may be available for travel, accommodation and subsistence but this will not cover all costs and applicants should expect to find their own funds. How to apply.
