Supporting the work of a wide range of Early Years practitioners in the Private and Voluntary sector To provide setting based support, working alongside colleagues, modeling good practice in delivering the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum Successful experience of monitoring other people, working as a team member and of leading teams To improve the quality of teaching and learning across all settings and in particular the non maintained early education settings offering the free entitlement To monitor, evaluate and report on the standards and quality of provision in the EY Foundation Stage and to provide appropriate support and advice To offer advice and support to setting working towards Quality Assurance accreditation. To work with staff in all settings to promote and develop effective partnership with parents To build upon and disseminate good practice in the EY Foundation Stage To produce guidance, information and other resources in the Early Years Foundation Stage for all educational settings. Key To develop positive working relationships with early education settings AND TRAINING Tasks and practitioners Teaching experience of 3-5 year olds Management experience in the EY Foundation Stage To report annually (with monthly reviews) on the standards, quality of education provided and management of the Early Years Foundation Stage Evidence of continuing professional development within the Early Years. Experience of providing and delivering training in a variety of Early Years settings. To support key priorities within the Children and Young people’s Plan and EY team plan by identifying areas for ongoing support and improvement Commitment to improving learning outcomes for all groups of learners within the EYFS KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS Strong early year’s philosophy with a clear vision of how it might develop to meet current and future challenges. To promote continuity and progression within the Early Years Foundation Stage and between phases – into Key Stage 1. Knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum To support settings in effective and accurate self review and identification of priorities A thorough understanding of the purposes and value of excellent planning and assessment of children in early years settings.
