William Michael BUTLER was born September 4, 1944 to William Herman BUTLER
and Eva May (BRIGGRANCE) BUTLER at St Louis MO. He passed away October 9,
2005 at Fordland MO at the age of 61. He was united in marriage on April 24, 1976 to
Leonarda M. FERREIRA in Winona MO.
Michael is preceded in death by his father, William Herman BUTLER, of Mountain
View MO; son, Kevin COWEN, Springfield MO; daughter, Barbara BROOKS,
Springfield MO; brother Grant BUTLER, Springfield MO; sisters Dianne BUTLER,
Springfield MO, and Sandra SCHULZ, Mountain View MO; and grandson, Zachary
HOLLINGSHEAD. Michael graduated from high school in Mountain View MO. He
served in the U S navy during the Vietnam War. He worked on a river boat for 31 years,
the last 20 as a captain. He attended the Tree of Life Church in Winona MO and he loved
God. Michael will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him. Funeral services were
held Wednesday, October 12, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. at the Duncan Funeral chapel in
Mountain View MO with Rev. Jack HONEYCUTT officiating. Interment was held at the
Greenlawn Cemetery in Mountain View MO under the direction of the Duncan Funeral
Home of Mountain View.
