Manager Food Facility EC Project
1. Identify priority areas in food security in consultation with the respective
communities for implementation as specified under EC food facility project.
2.
Prepare detailed work plans and budget for the identified activities.
3.
Supervise the implementation on land development, apricot value addition, seed
production, livestock and feed improvement programs.
4.
Assist the local seed companies in developing wheat and maize seed multiplication
and marketing system in the region.
5.
Work closely with gender coordinator to ensure gender balance during planning and
implementation of the project.
6.
Work closely with other sections of AKRSP to maximize the out-puts and outcomes
through efficient use of the available resources.
7.
Liaison with other programme and projects.
8.
Provide leadership to a multidisciplinary team of professionals to achieve the targets
in time with required quantity and quality.
9.
Conduct participatory monitoring of on-going activities and ensure timely donor
reporting of the project.
10. Compliance with documentation and reporting requirements specified by the donor
and the Supervisor.

Training of trainer (4 March 2002 to 20 March 2002) in Gilgit and (15 June to 20 June
2002) in Swat.
The overseas development group through the school of development studies, University of
East Anglia, have organised training of the trainers particularly for natural resource
management section of AKRSP. The basic purpose of the training was to enhance the
capacity of NRM personals regarding develop and deliver theory and practical training
sessions and associated training support materials appropriate for the Valley and Master
trainers.
