CROATIA
I am really happy to be part of Comenius and Leonardo project because I have met some
new, great friends from around Europe.
I think that Comenius and Leonardo projects are great. They connected me with people
I would surely have never met without these projects.
Although, I wasn't part of a lot of activities while they were here and I haven’t
travelled anywhere, even this little part with them left a really big memory in my heart.
I loved all of them, especially guys from Spain, they are so natural and funny. On the
welcoming dinner, although we just met, we felt like we knew each other for whole life.
The best part of that night was after dinner, when we sat together in circle, listened to
some music, laughed at our knowledge of the Spanish language and just enjoyed the life.
As it's supposed to be. On the other day, when we had English class, that was fun thing
to do. That whole presentation thing was great for us to meet. We were all in different
groups and we were supposed to make presentation about country we got. We learned
something about their country, about their culture, about their city, about their school
and stuff like that. After that we were waiting in front of the school to go on lunch.
That's when we taught them some words in Croatian. That was hilarious, just to hear
them trying to say something in our though language.
Anyway, I love meeting new people. I hope that next time when they come here I will be
part of more activities with them. I don't know English very well, but that really helps
me learn it through real talk in English with other people, not just people in the class
which, less or more, don't speak English very well. So, all in all, I just loved everything
about these projects and I'm excited to see what's next.

When teachers Gašpar and Škorić came with an idea of Comenius and Leonardo
projects, I was surprised. Ever since they held presentation last semester, I knew that
I would be part of it.
The first Comenius and Leonardo meeting happened really quickly after the
announcement. People from foreign countries came to our town and I was chosen to have
dinner with them. I was sitting with my friend Valentina and two girls from Spain. At
first, conversation was pretty awkward, but after a while, when the shyness
disappeared, we started a very nice chat. After the dinner, students from my school
spent some good time with them, but I couldn’t – I had to go home because we had a big
test the next day.
A few days later, we had an English class together. My group had to make a
presentation about Croatia. We made it and it was pretty cool. We had the time to get
to know each other better and it was great that we could introduce our country to them
and find out something new about other countries.
That was pretty much it – I wasn't working on anything after that first week. I
feel kind of sorry about that, but I have a feeling that, when teachers came with new
assignments, kids from other classes took it immediately. It might be because I don't
have competitive spirit. I hope that I will have more duties with Comenius and Leonardo
projects in the future – it's not over yet.

POLAND
My trip to Poland started at 4 o'clock in the morning. We went from Daruvar to Zagreb
and then to Vienna and Warsaw. Our trip from Warsaw to Starogard was long but
interesting. I saw a lot of new things, houses, cars, people, etc.
When we arrived in Starogard we went to welcome dinner. At welcome dinner we saw
our ‘’friends’’ from foreign countries. There were: Xabier, Metin, Erick, Dagmara... We
have also made new friendships with new people like Alex or Lucija. After dinner we
went to the hotel REN. Our guide trough Starogard that night was Metin. I was in a
room with Tibor but we had guests. On the first day we went to their school to present
our country. I was in a group with Dajana and Tibor and we were talking about
Dubrovnik. After that we went to lunch at the restaurant Salamandra. When we were
over with our meal we continued our tour in Starogard. In the evening we went to one
pub and we were singing karaoke. I sang Highway To Hell by AC/DC with Xabier, Tibor
and Metin and with some people that I had never seen before. On the second day we
went to Gdansk and Sopot and to some other town but I forgot the name of the town.
Anyway, we were watching musical Grease. It was funny because we had our own
interpretation of it because we didn’t understand Polish actors. On the third day we
went to Malbrok castle. That castle is very big and very cold but we survived that also.
On the fourth day our mission was to make presentation about what we had seen in
Poland. I was in a group with: Nikolina, Tibor, Zala and some guy from Spain ( his FB
name is John Cruz but I think he is a liar ). After presentations we talked to our new
and old friends and we started our trip to Warsaw. When we came to Warsaw we went
to the Moon Hostel. That place is very nice and comfortable. The second day in Warsaw
is my favourite day of our journey. We visited a lot of monuments and we also tried to
visit its ghetto. But we visited my favourite place in Poland...the magnificent HARD
ROCK CAFE. When we came in, I saw Nicko McBrain’s (Iron Maiden drummer ) drum set
and Dave Mason’s ( Pink Floyd guitar player )guitar. We had dinner there and a drink,
and after that awesome dinner we came back to our hostel. The next morning we visited
Jewish graveyard. And after some time we started out trip home. Warsaw – Munich –
Zagreb – Daruvar – Lipik.

I am happy to be a part of Comenius and Leonardo projects. Thanks to the projects I
learned a lot about other countries and practiced my English through many interesting
conversations with students from different countries. I was very excited when the
students were visiting us for the first time. We showed them our town and school and
went on a trip to Zagreb with them. We had a great time and as far as I know, they had
a great time with us, too, and liked our country.
My favourite part of the project was the trip to Poland. I will always remember how
scared I was because of my first flight, the kindness and warm welcome in Poland, and
how happy we were to meet our friends from other countries again! Hardly anything can
beat that experience, the friendships we made and the good time we had.

Our school has 2 very interesting projects which are called Leonardo da Vinci and
Comenius.
I'm part of Leonardo and I had the chance to visit Poland. I really liked the journey to
Poland and I met a lot of new people. They are very communicative and friendly and we
had a lot of fun with them. Also, I learned a lot about the Polish culture and traditions.
This project made it possible for me to improve my English and, of course, I expanded
my English vocabulary. The Polish food was very tasty and various but the biggest
impression was the Hard Rock Cafe in Warsaw. I hope that our school will continue
working on projects.

It is hard to describe such an amazing experience shortly.
Not only that this project gives you opportunities to visit and meet other cultures and
people, but you make new friends. When you meet people on this project, only a week is
enough for them to become your good friends.
This is a great experience and a memory you will keep for a lifetime, because something
like this opens your eyes to see a variety of people in this small world.
Not to mention that this project also enables you to improve your language skills. Maybe
not just English, maybe somebody would like to learn another language like in my case. I
can say that this project played a big role in my future life, it helped me realize what I
want to do, what I want from my life.
Now, I want to travel more, I want to learn more new languages and I want to know
more about other cultures.
I'm truly happy to be part of this project because I know this is a big piece of my life
puzzle and it will always remain in my heart as such.

When I first heard the news about this project I had no idea that it would make such
an effect on me. I love participating in projects but I applied because of my English
language training the most. Today I have a lot of friends from all over the world
because of my improvement of the English language, and I also have my Croatian team. I
got Turkey as the offer for the first trip, but unfortunately I couldn't go. I still kept
working and I got a chance to go to Poland for a week. I stayed there with people I
didn't know well but now they are my best friends. Poland is a beautiful country and I
would like to go there again. Seven days in Poland can’t be described with words because
it was the most beautiful week in my life and I'm incredibly grateful to my teachers
who helped make it happen. But I'm grateful to the people who have come up with this
project most because if there wasn't this project, I wouldn't have all these wonderful
people around me.
Dajana Kocijan
Comenius and Leonardo are the best projects I have participeted in so far. I enjoyed
meeting other people, comunicating with them and sharing my experiences with them.
The good thing about these projects is improvement of the English language and
learning new ones. The best thing about these projects are trips to other countries... I
enjoyed my trip to Poland and personally, I hope there will be more projects in the next
years for new generations so they can learn new languages, see other countries and
meet new people while having fun like I did. While participating in these projects my life
has changed a lot, I've become better friends with people from my country and from
other countries, which I cherish the most, I saw a country I thought I never would, I
found out how crazy (in the good way) our teachers are and had a lot, lot of fun.
Only the best thoughts about these projects 

SLOVENIA
We spent three nights in the hotel whose name is Splavar in a small and beautiful town
of Brežice.
On the first day we went to 'Postojnska jama '. It was so amazing there. It's
interesting how nature can make caves. In the cave we saw a dragon. On the second day
we were in Brežice and we went in their town hall. After that we were walking around
Brežice. Brežice is maybe a small but wonderful town becuase there is no garbage
anywhere, and Brežice has amazing nature, there are many lights, and the cafes are
nicely decorated and comfortable. On the third day we went to Ljubljana.Ljubljana is a
great place to visit because it has history, tradition, style, arts and culture. We were on
the Dragon bridge. The dragon is the symbol of this city. And there we heard a couple
of legends about the dragon. After that we went to Bled. Bled is an amazing place
surrounded by a lake. The nature was wonderful and we really enjoyed there. On the day
four we went to Terme Čatež.
There we saw Indian tents and a wooden house on the water. The wooden house on the
water is great for spending time with your friends. Terme Čatež resorts are very
beautiful. There are shops and the pools and slides are great. The water in the pools is
pleasant: there is also a sauna. It is so good and so relaxing there. It was great in
Slovenia for me. I would like to go there again.

When I first heard of these projects I was excited but wasn't so sure if I'd be part of
them. And look at me now. I'm working hard but loving it. It all started in October,
when we had our first meeting with Leonardo project here, in Croatia. I met these
awesome people from Poland, Slovenia, Turkey and Spain. I'll never forget our first
night. We were all shy but curious. Who would tell that we would cry 4 days later
because they were all leaving. And thank God for facebook. And now, 2 weeks ago, I was
in Slovenia. And we had a really good time and it was awesome to see some of the people
I had already met in Croatia. Now I'm looking forward to our trip to Turkey. Can't wait.

Two projects that ourschool got, Leonardo and Comenius, are two best things that
happened to me during my education.
First, students from Spain, Turkey and Poland came to Daruvar in September. That was
the best experience for me because one student from Turkey stayed at my home for 5
days. Her English wasn't so good, but that wasn't a problem for our communication. We
had a lot of fun during their stay in Daruvar. I made some new friends and I think I will
remember this my whole life. Also, that was an opportunity to improve my English. I
even learned some words from Turkish, and my Turkish friend Rabia learned some words
from Croatian.
I worked a lot for the project and I earned a trip to Slovenia with Leonardo project.
We met again with some students that were in Croatia and we met some new students.
It was really nice in Slovenia, for sure, an unforgettable experience. We learned some
new things and I will never forget people from other countries.
This project that we are participating in really is a step further in our lives.

We started on 16th April in the morning. I was in a car with my teacher Ksenija Škorić
and two friends Lucija and Petra. We arrived at 10 o’clock, we left our baggage and
went on a trip to Postojna cave. After three hours of driving we finally came to Postojna
where the world's second longest cave is located. We had to ride on a train to go inside
and admire the stalactites and stalagmites that have been formed by steady, little
drops of water for millions of years. At 6 o’clock we had lunch, after that we drove to
the hotel and fell asleep. On day two, after breakfast, we went to the school where we
held the presentations. After the presentation we made posters of our schools and we
had lunch, later we had free time. In the evening we had a gathering at the hostel. It
was fun and definitely something that will have a special place in my memory. Day three
was a day in Bled. We took the bus to Bled where we climbed up to Bled Castle, and then
we saw the magnificent views of the lake and surrounding mountains, it was wonderful.
We had lunch there and after lunch, departed to the hotel. The fourth day was the day
of coming home, after breakfast we went to school where we made and held the
presentations, and had lunch. After that we went to Čatež spa, there we had a lot of
fun. At 5 o’clock we went home.

On the first day we come to Brežice. When we come to school we met with others
students from Spain,Turkey,Poland and Slovenia. On the first day we went to Postojnska
jama.
At the end of the first day we went to school where we were doing some presentation
Cenral Dalmatia. On the third day we went to capital city of Slovenia,Ljubljana.
I learnt that the symbol of Slovenia is a Dragon. I really liked the Dragons bridge and
the legend of the dragon. We saw a beautiful castle in Bled. It was really nice to see
snow in mountions. Every day we were hanging with others studebts in MC hostel.
Gradunally, the fourth day came. Before we arrived home we were in Terme Čatež. When
we came home we were so happy. I will never forget people I meet in Slovenia, places
which I saw there. It was awesome.
