THREE POST-DOCTORAL POSITIONS
are available at the Molecular and Cellular Allergology Unit, in the Department of
Immunology of Institut Pasteur, Paris, France.
1. Regulation of inflammation by commensal bacteria.
The successful applicant will be entrusted with a research project on the regulation of allergic
and inflammatory reactions by commensal bacteria. This project is being developed within
the frame of a partnership between Institut Pasteur and a major international food company.
Candidates will possess a PhD in Immunology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or a related
field. They will be enthusiastic, hard workers and highly motivated. They will have a strong
background in Immunology. They will master Molecular and Cellular Biology techniques.
They will also have an experience in handling mice and in in vivo investigations.
2. Fc Receptors in Allergy.
The successful applicant will be entrusted with a research project on the regulation of human
basophil activation by Receptors for the Fc portion of antibodies in allergic patients.
Candidates will possess a PhD in Immunology or a related field and, possibly, an MD. They
will be enthusiastic, hard workers and highly motivated. They will have a strong background
in Immunology. They will have a good experience in Cell Biology techniques and flow
cytometry. They will be able to interact with clinical investigators.
3. Mast Cell Signaling.
The successful applicant will be entrusted with an innovative, ambitious collaborative
research project on the dynamics of FcRI signaling in mast cells based on proteomic
analysis.
Candidates will possess a PhD in Immunology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or a related
field. They will be enthusiastic, hard workers and highly motivated. They will have a strong
background in Immunology and Cell Signaling. They will master Biochemistry and Cellular
Biology techniques. They will have an experience in Bioinformatics and, possibly, Systems
Biology.
