Yes Local swelling or pain only No Any symptom other than swelling or pain at the injection site --instruct is not dangerous --inform is OK to use ice at site (intermittently) --advise to take anti-histamine (if haven’t already taken that day) --inform is OK to come to next scheduled shot appt as long as swelling has resolved by then --tell to let nurse know at time of next shot the size and duration of the local reaction --speak with a nurse immediately
