Nomination Criteria
The Saskatchewan Arts Board is a Crown Agency whose legislated mandate is to benefit the people
of Saskatchewan.
The Nominating Committee selects candidates for the Board of Directors using the following criteria.
Candidates must:




be residents of Saskatchewan
value the arts and the contribution the arts make to the province of Saskatchewan
demonstrate previous commitment to the arts
abide by the Saskatchewan Arts Board Code of Ethics.
The committee will also consider the overall composition of the Board:



A broad range of knowledge, skills and experience will be sought.
Candidates who are working artists and candidates from Indigenous communities are
necessary resources to the board and will be included on the nomination list.
To the greatest extent possible, the board should reflect the cultural diversity of the province
as well as gender balance and regional representation.

Candidates may nominate themselves or may be nominated by others. If nominated by another
person, the candidate must sign the declaration at the bottom of the Expression of Interest Form to
confirm they agree to allow their name to stand for nomination.
