Vocabulary Poster Station
Directions: Your group is going to make a poster for one of the persuasive writing words. Each group will
choose a card to determine the word your group will be using.
Each person will have a specific task to complete the poster. If you finish early, please help another group
member with his or her portion.
Person #1: Draw a picture that represents the word. Make sure the drawing is colorful and stands out. Give
your portion to person #4.
Person #2: Find an example of the word in the essays provided. Title a paper “Example of _________” and
copy the passage that includes the example neatly and in ink on a sheet of paper. Give your portion to person
#4.
Person #3: Title a paper “Definition of __________” and write the definition of the word in your own words
neatly in ink. Give your portion to person #4.
Person #4: Write the word in bold letters and in ink at the top of the poster. Glue the rubric to the back of the
poster. Help members of your group with their portions. When they are finished, glue their portions neatly to
the poster. Write everyone’s names on the poster.
