INFORMATION

We are sponsoring this show as an opportunity for members to qualify for the 2012 4H State Classic
Horseshow. Classes also count toward the Santa Clara County 4H Year-end Awards Program.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS: The show will be held at Tilton Ranch, end of San Bruno Ave, Morgan Hill, Ca. 95037. From
The North: Take US-101 towards Los Angeles, exit Bailey Ave, turn to the right on Bailey, travel west to Santa Teresa Blvd,
turn left on Santa Teresa, travel south to San Bruno Ave, turn right on San Bruno Ave, travel west to the end of San Bruno
Ave
From the South: Take US-101 towards San Francisco, exit Cochrane Rd, turn left on Cochrane to Monterey Highway, turn
right on Monterey Highway, travel north to Live Oak Ave, turn left on Live Oak, travel west to Hale Ave, turn right on Hale Ave,
travel north to San Bruno Ave, turn left on San Bruno Ave, travel west to the end of San Bruno Ave.
All Entrants are required to care for, prepare, groom and ride their own horses. No adult help is allowed except in the case
of an emergency situation. No adult coaching from the rail. Assistance from one Member to another Member is permitted.
Violation of this rule may result in disqualification without appeal.

FOOD!! Pacheco Pass 4-H’s snack bar will be in operation. Please support our club by purchasing items from our food both.

Please pickup all horse manure, shavings, hay, etc. from the grounds when you leave. We need to pick up after
OURSELVES AND OUR HORSES!

OPEN to ALL COUNTIES in California!

4-H Uniforms to be worn for all 4-H classes. Boots A Must! (no tennis shoes or other shoe apparel allowed)

Beginner Rider is for 4-H members in their FIRST year of showing

Green Horse is for horses in their FIRST year of showing.

Santa Clara County 4-H Horse Show rules, USEF (formally known as ASHA) and CGA rules apply. It is the responsibility of
the exhibitors to make themselves aware of all the rules.

ASTM-F 1163-90 Safety approved Hard Hat with harness strap in place must be worn in all riding classes

Show management reserves the right to combine or cancel classes which have insufficient entries.

Judge’s decisions are final with no recourse through protest.

A one minute gate call will be strictly enforced. A five minute tack change will be allowed upon advance request.

No refunds will be given without a Vet Certificate.

NO DOGS ALLOWED!! Please do not bring dogs, not even if they are on a leash!

Bring your own chairs and umbrella/ sun shade to enjoy the show.

Special OVERALL High Point to the Horse & Rider accumulating the most points in ALL divisions.

I acknowledge that horseback riding is a sport which carries inherent risks of injury and damage to myself, my horse
and property. I knowingly assume all risks, whether known or unknown, of horseback riding.
I hereby release Pacheco Pass 4-H Club, the University of California, Santa Clara County 4-H program, Tilton Ranch
Inc. and Mark and Jackie Sellers, from all liability for any act of negligence or want of ordinary care on the part of
Pacheco Pass 4-H Club, the University of California, Santa Clara County 4-H Program, and Tilton Ranch Inc and
Mark and Jackie Sellers, Morgan Hill, or any of its agents. I waive, release and discharge their directors, officers,
agents and members, their representatives, heirs, executors and assigns from any and all claims of liability for injury to
myself, my animal or my property arising out of my participation. This agreement is binding upon my executors, heirs
and assigns.
I expressly waive any rights I may have under California Civil Code 1542, which states: “A general release does not
extend to claim which the creditor does not know or suspect to exist in his favor at the time of executing the release
which if known by him might have materially affected his settlement with debtor”.
Pacheco Pass 4-H Club, the University of California, Santa Clara County 4-H program, Tilton Ranch Inc. and Mark
and Jackie Sellers, its agents, or employees shall not be liable for any damage which may accrue from any cause or as
a result of fire, theft, running away, state of health, injury to person, horse or property.
