Each pony will first perform a dressage test on an all weather surface. After a half hour minimum break for clothing & tack change, they will jump a course of show jumps indoors then immediately move to the adjacent outdoor arena for a short course of portable XC jumps. Special score sheets are used that consider the paces, attitude and balance of the pony in the dressage phase and as well as marks for jumping the fences, technique, athleticism and temperament will be marked. Tests/heights as follows:

Invited judges: International Eventing (FEI 3*/4*) judge and British Eventing (BE) Accredited Coach,
Nikki Herbert (BHSI) and ex 4* eventer, Burghley Young Event Horse winner and a past Pony Team
Trainer, Judy Hancock.
The results of the class will be determined on a penalty score basis with the dressage score added to the jumping and XC scores as per BE rules. For more information on how the classes will be judged including rules on tack/boots etc can be found on www.sportpony.org.uk/eventing
The pony with the lowest penalty score over all 3 pony classes will be declared Overall Champion and the next lowest scoring pony will be Reserve .
There will be no XC time penalties but dangerous riding will be penalised and the XC time will be used to determine the placings in the event that 2 or more ponies have the same score. The XC.
No qualification required.
Class open to PONIES ONLY. Ponies may be up to and including 148 cm in height (149 cm with shoes).
Ponies may be of known or unknown breeding and do not need to be registered with the SPSS.
Please complete the breeding sections on the entry form as fully as possible.
Open to both British Eventing (BE) registered and non-registered ponies, owners & riders need not be
BE members.
Riders any age (including adults); size of rider to be appropriate for size of pony.
To be run under BE rules apart from the dressage test may be "called". Saddlery & Equipment and
Competitors Dress as per BE Members Handbook 2013 apart from the Show Jumping phase which should be done in XC clothes/tack as there is no time to change before the XC phase. Protective
Headwear to current safety standards must be worn at all times while mounted (but does not have to have a BE or other "hat tag").
