Each abstract is limited to one page. This both allows for the publication of each abstract in an electronic booklet as well as assists the Scientific Advisory Committee in the evaluation of the abstracts. Template: Please save this template file to use as a preparation tool for your abstract. Replace each item, such as Title, Authors, Affiliations, et al, with the appropriate data. The required section headings are Introduction, Materials and methods, Results, Conclusions, Acknowledgements (if applicable) and References. Format: The length of the abstract is limited to 1 page (A4 format). Margins on top, bottom, left and right: 2.5 cm. The title, authors and affiliations should be in single column, whereas the remaining abstract contents should be double column, single spaced. The font to use is Times New Roman, with the font size being 12 pts in the title, 10 pts in the body text and 8 pts in figure and table captions. The title and section headings text is bold. Please do not hyper-link your email address. Figures and tables: The use of figures and tables in the abstract is encouraged. Figures may be black and white, or colour. They should be sized appropriately to fit in a single column. Figures should also be referenced in the text, as shown in Figure 1. Please realise that the file size is limited to 2.0 MB when adding images. Figure 1. Plot of X=Y with linear fit shown Units: SI units must be used. US customary units may be given in parentheses after SI units. Submission: The deadline for submission of abstracts is the 23rd of October, 2015. Only abstracts of participants who have registered will be included in the conference programme and in the electronic book of abstracts. Abstracts are to be submitted in the same file format as the template, allowing for ease of integration into the book of abstracts. Evaluation: Each abstract will be independently reviewed by two members of the Scientific Advisory Committee. The Scientific Advisory Committee will then recommend abstracts for acceptance. A submission is more likely to be accepted if it is original and innovative. Quality of the work, clarity and completeness of the submitted materials will be considered as well. Authors will be notified about the final decision by the 11th of December, 2015. References: References should be written in order of appearence in the reference list, and the following abbreviated style should be adopted: 1. Geant4 Collaboration (S. Agostinelli et al.), Nucl. Instrum. Meth. Phys. Res. A 506, 250-303 (2003).
