FLEETS PREP
The week before:

Alert your doctor of all your medications

Stop aspirin or NSAIDs (Advil, Ibuprofen, Motrin, Aleve, etc.) 7 days
before your procedure

Stop iron supplements, multivitamins with iron, and vitamin E
supplements 7 days before your procedure

Stop fiber supplements 3 days before your procedure

Purchase two-1 ½ fl. Oz. Bottles of Fleets Phospho-soda (Ginger, lemon
or regular flavor) at any pharmacy. Fleets Phospho-soda is also available
in 3 or 8 fl. Oz; if larger size is purchased, do not exceed recommended
doses, as serious side effects may occur.
The day before:

Stay on a clear-liquid diet the entire day (water, tea or coffee without milk
or creamer, ices, clear soups, broth, bouillon, plain jello, non-pulp fruit
juices, and carbonated beverages **NO RED LIQUIDS**. DO NOT EAT ANY
SOLID FOOD

Stop all liquids 8 hours prior to your procedure

At 5PM, mix 1 ½ fl. oz. of FLEET PHOSPHO SODA LAXATIVE to one glass
of water or clear juice and drink following with 5 more glasses of water or
juice before retiring. Drink more if desired.

Continue to drink as much water as possible until bedtime **NOTHING
TO EAT OR DRINK AFTER MIDNIGHT**
The day of your procedure:

FOUR HOURS PRIOR to your procedure, add 1 ½ fl. oz. of FLEET PHOSPHO
SODA LAXATIVE to one glass of water or clear juice and drink following
with 5 more glasses of water or juice.

TWO HOURS PRIOR to your procedure, adminster FLEET ENEMA before
leaving for the examination.

Arrive with an escort since you will not be able to drive home

If you take heart or blood pressure medication, you may take it early in
the morning with a sip of water

If you use inhalers, please bring them with you.
