Peter and Elizabeth had 10 children, plus 3 foster children.
This is what my Great Aunt Lula Mae Dillman wrote and was inside of the family Bible.
Michael Dillman came here to U.S. as a very small boy from Germany. I believe he
was an orphan living with a couple. I don't know when he came to Ind. He had two sons,
and two daughters. David and Peter( Lula Mae's grand father). Mariah was a sister
and she married a Miller and her daughter Ada married a sea captain, Capt. Lawless.
Lula visited her in Kilroy, Calif., but she is now dead.
Peter Dillman went to Kansas in Oct 1856 by covered wagon and homesteaded a track
of land. Grandmother went to him in March 1857 with her two children, Cynthia and
(Lula's father) John Michael. Lula didn't know how long they lived there, but Lula
could remember Grandmother telling about the Indians and they lived in a sod house
and the bufflo walking on top . She was so afraid, they moved back, and their land is
where the town or city of St. Joseph is now.

Cyntha died 3-7-1926 Cyntha never married.

These names and dates were documented in the Dillman Family Bible of Peter Dillman.
John Michael Dillman and Elizabeth are buried in the Dillman Cemetery about three

Elmer Dillman Born 6-6-1884 Died 1-30-1967 buried at Riddle Cemetery, near my
home. Married Elizabeth Christina Schulz 12-31-1908 (born 6-7-1882 died 4-8-1932)
Elmer and Lizzie had two children Patience Jewell born 3-23-1923 died 9-29-1926,

children from these marriages. There was step children in both marriages, but no
adoptions.
John Michael Dillman's line ends with me, and my son.
Harold Dillman is the Great grandson of Peter Dillman. The Grandson of David Hendrix
Dillman. The son of Ralph Dillman.
David Hendrix married Ida M. Tadlock 6-27-1880 She died 6-24-1894
There were four children. John Man Dillman, Curby, In , Mrs. Michael D. Froman,
Chrisman, Ill, Mrs. Archie Williams, Magnolia, In, and a daughter who died at infancy.
David Hendrix married Emma Vernon 2-17-1898
Seven children were born to this marriage: Russell Dillman, Ralph Dillman(Harold
Dillman's Dad), Mrs Harry Williams, Mrs. Guy Melcolm, and Mrs. Jennings Dean, and
Pauline Dillman.
Harold Dillman is an Attorney at Corydon, Indiana. His office address is: 219 N. capital
Ave. Corydon, In.47112 Office number 812 738-2100.
