The Rapid Race
On Wednesday 14th March, three schools, Knights Templar, Old Cleeve and St Peters,
were desperate for victory. The whistle blew, the cyclist led the way, and a bundle of
children sped off. There was no time for losing – the race was on!
Reporters, Toby Derrick and Matthew Levett, interviewed Christopher Landon,
(the first boy in KT to cross the line) and Bethany Morby (first girl in KT to
cross the line) and they felt proud and glad.
The race ended with fantastic results with KT girls coming first against the other
schools and the KT boys showing real skills. Well done to Bethany Morby, Ellie
Bradbury, Harriet Criddle, Isabel Spears, Fern Towells, Heidi Smith, Georgie
Bickerstaff, Jessica Mills, Olivia Watkins, Chris Landon, Matthew Levett, Josh
Crockford, Riley Merrick, Toby Derrick, Thomas Levett, Thomas Bradbury, Jack

Knights Egg Hunt
Knights Templar hosted an eggcelent Easter egg hunt with the
caring buddy groups. There were special cards hidden in the
playground. The buddy groups had to hold hands because they had
to stay together to find the eggs. Each child had to find their own
particular colour. The cards got named by the child and put in a
secret box. Then there was a lucky dip. After shaking the names,
one winning card from each year group’s box was called out and
they won the big egg. Many thanks to the PTFA who worked really
hard to make the egg hunt lots of fun.
First Knights Easter Bonnet Competition
Knights Templar ran a bonnet competition. The children needed to decorate a
bonnet to do with Easter. The best hats won a big prize. Everybody loved the idea
of it. The winners were Abigail Pentland, Brandon Perkins, Theo Harding, James
Hunt, Rachel Plumbley and Jessica Mills.

Super

A huge well done to all the gymnasts who received their badges on Wednesday 28th
March. There was a huge range of badges from badge 8 to badge 1! Reporter, Izzi
Binding, interviewed Emma Perkins on what it was like to hold a gymnastics badge.
Here’s what she said “To get my badge, I had to do things like cartwheels, headstands
and I had to sit in a straddle and fold at least halfway – it was quite tricky!! I feel very
happy and proud to hold my badge 5. “
