The “ Whitmarsh 11m ” by Whitmarsh High Performance Ribs in the UK will be unveiled during the Antibes Boat & Yacht Show (Dates), Cannes International Boat and
Yacht Show (10 -15 September 2008), Monaco Yacht Show (24-27 September 2008) and Genoa International Boat Show (4th to 12th October).
After 30 years of product development, manufacture and testing in countless offshore competitions & races, the team behind Whitmarsh High Performance Ribs have now moved into production. The first Luxury Offshore Rib has been created in the relentless pursuit of perfection that underpins Whitmarsh Ribs working practice, and now seriesproduction has started.
The Whitmarsh 11m is the result of an exhaustive creative process to produce the most refined, Luxury Offshore Rib and Whitmarsh makes absolutely no compromise, from design, naval architecture, hull design, and sound engineering.
The Whitmarsh 11m is no ordinary Rib – simplified in concept, she is probably the most driver-orientated vehicle on the water; easy to manoeuvre, easy to understand and with familiar controls that allow any car driver to experience + 65knts on the water.
The Whitmarsh 11m is capable of covering long distances with her range of over 300 nautical miles , and her specially designed and proven hull allow her to handle seas no other boat in her class can consider.
Unsurprisingly, it has been difficult to keep the Whitmarsh 11m a secret. With no exposure and only word of mouth there is already a waiting list. Whitmarsh have also started production on their 12.5m
running twin VW Marine inboard diesels combined with twin Arneson Surface drive systems, capable of propelling the 12.5m to beyond 85 knots .

It is our aim to use quality proven tried and tested equipment and rigging methods to provide the most reliable and durable product possible.

Hull Construction
This will be hand laid GRP using Iosthalic resin for maximum Osmosis protection. Eglass CSM/Bi-axial cloth lay up with high density Divinycell foam hull reenforcement to give the ultimate performance whilst saving weight and eliminating water ingress and deterioration that is common with Plywood cores.

Tube Colour to Client Requirements
580mm tapered tube with seven chamber design and pressure relief valves as standard for maximum safety. Manufactured with
‘Henshaws’
Orca Hypalon 1200 gsm standard finish or 1500gsm Fabric Impression (matt finish) material .

Composite Teak for Maximum Durability and Practicality
Using the ‘ Esthec’
composite decking system depending on colour selected.
Manufactured from a rigid vinyl composite that looks and feels like natural wood but solves a lot of the problems associated with a traditional wooden deck as well as being eco friendly.

Integral 4 Point Lifting System Built in to the Hull with Slings Supplied
This system simplifies lifting and avoids chaffing on the tubes when using conventional slings. The stern lifting points will be
‘Harken’
lifting eyes bolted through the transom. The forward points are 90 degree plates bolted through both the longitudinal stringers and the thwart ships bulkhead with 16mm thread in eyes for maximum strength.
The use of
Dyneema®
fiber for the slings provides many important advantages. This lightweight fiber enables the manufacturing of slings that are lower in weight by a factor of eight compared to similar steel wire-based equipment. Lighter weight makes handling the slings easier and allows them to be stowed onboard without taking up space and carrying un-wanted weight.

450 Litre Aluminium Powder Coated Fuel Tank
This will be a rolled edge construction for maximum safety and strength.
Manufactured by ‘the tank company’ in Poole, they are a major OEM supplier to both the marine and specialist vehicle manufacturing sectors as well as the petro-chemical and gen-set industries. Waterjet cutting and CNC folding ensures consistency of measurements for small production runs, and all welders are coded. Every tank is individually numbered and pressure tested and carries a two year manufacturer’s guarantee.

This will an integral GRP tank located in the bow section under the foredeck moulding.

Sea Star Hydraulic Steering.
This is a low friction hydraulic steering system for outboard engines up to 350hp, it has 4.25 turns from lock to-lock and the factory swaged hoses are
Kevlar® reinforced.

This gives improved speed and performance capability and allows better trim options for all conditions.

Stainless steel radar arch
Will be manufactured with 50mm 316 stainless tube.
The Navigation lights will be mounted on the arch at regulation height along with the
Plotter/VHF antennas.

Stainless Steel Stem Tow Point
This will be a ‘V’ shaped plate made to fit the hull form to enable the boat to be towed behind the main vessel. There will be an eyelet on either side of the hull to allow the safest and most stable tow.
Please note this is only for use in moderate sea conditions only.

Stainless Steel Boarding Support/Handrail
This will be a support pole to be fitted in to a drop in socket at the forward end of the aft seating arrangement on both sides of the boat to ensure guests can board the boat with maximum safety.


Pumps and Drainage

2000 gph bilge pumps fitted. The first will be fitted in the aft bilge. The second will be fitted in a sump tank just below floor level behind the back seat to catch water from the cockpit sole. The sump will have a two and a half inch overflow (with non return valve) directed overboard through the transom as a back up/emergency system. All cockpit lockers will have a GRP wax gel finish and will have limber holes to allow them to drain aft.
