The Opportunity
The British Fashion Council (BFC) has been awarded funding through the European Regional
Development Fund to support promoting London’s creative fashion design talent to key
international audiences.
ERDF funding is being used to support London Collections: Men, a biannual showcase of British
menswear brands and businesses to support them to increase their international sales. Further

/men. London Collections: Men is set to be the strongest showcase of menswear over 70 designers
confirmed to show in London between 9th – 12th January 2015. The line-up of shows and events sees
some of menswear’s most prominent international names showing alongside Britain's renowned
heritage designers and rising stars.
Topman will run their own separate show space at The Old Sorting Office, New Oxford Street during
LC: M. BFC will be using the venue for seven catwalk shows on the final two days of LC:M and is
looking to appoint a production company to design, produce and run the show space during those
two days.
The Old Sorting Office is a 1960's industrial site on New Oxford Street covering one acre and sitting
adjacent to Soho, Covent Garden and Bloomsbury. The 40,000 square foot ground floor is a raw,
gritty space that is perfect for any large scale production. It is an empty space and will need to be
designed and produced from scratch.

Production and management of the catwalk space for the London Collections: Men event at The Old
Sorting Office in January 2015 will include the following activities:

Design direction for the venue
Producing the BFC catwalk shows
Drawing up plans and renders for use and design of venue space
Site visits and liaison The Old Sorting Office
Set design and dressing
Provision of crew, lighting and sound
Provision of furniture
Provision of production staff and backstage staff during shows
Specification document for designers
Seating plans and site plans
Arranging security and access passes
Following appointment, the successful supplier will be expected to draw up a detailed design
direction proposal including plans and drawings for use and design of The Old Sorting Office.
Budget
The value of the contract is £155,000 (exc. VAT) for one event in January 2015.
The Contract value includes all production costs as well as the company fee.
