India is our Country, India is a seventh largest continent it is in the Asian
continent, India is large country. The Himalayan mountain ranges separate it from the
rest of Asian continent. It is also called subcontinent there are three counties in this sub
continent namely India i.e. is BHARATH, PAKISTAN & BANGALADESH. India is a
large peninsula it is in the south of Asian continent its borders are the Himalayan
mountain ranges in the north, the Bay of Bengal in the east, the Indian ocean in south &
the Arabian sea in the west a land mass surrounded on three sides by the sea is called
peninsula.
The people of a country generally referred as Nation. People of India are called
Indian Nation. In India there are different types of people with different religions, castes
and with different languages. Some of the religions are Hindu, Muslim, Christians, Sikhs,
Buddusiam & Jainism etc. Some of the different languages are spoken in India there are
the Telugu, Hindi which is called National language, English, Tamil, Kannada, Marathi,
Punjabi, Arabic, Urdu, Bengali, Sanskrit etc., are spoken in our country there are some
famous Dancers in India They are Bharatanatyam (which famous in INDIA), Kathak,
Kuchipudi, Manipuri, Orissa Dance, Santhal Dance, Himachal Folk Dance, Garba Dance
and Dhankoot, Rajasthani folk, Andhra folk Dance, Rouf dance & Naga land folk Dance
are famous Dances in India.
There are Famous and historical buildings in India are Tajmahal one of the
wonders of the World. Golden temple the great Stupa, Sanchi, Vijayghat, Jantarmantar,
Old fort, Redfort, Howrah Bridge, Rajghat, Birla Laxmi Narayan Mandir, HawaMahal,
Indaiagate, Victory Tower, Qutubminar, Gurudwarsis-gans, the famous historical
buildings in India.
In India very famous holi places Tirupathi, Vijayawada, Rameshwaram, Basara,
Kedareshwaram, Shiridhi, Srishailam, badhrachalam, ShabariMalay in kerala,
Vaishnavidevi Temple in Jammu etc.
In India state call Andhra Pradesh is very famous for its Geographical features. In
Andhra Pradesh there area 23Districtrs they are Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Vishakpatnam,
Tirupathi, Karimnagar, Tanuku, Warangal, Guntur, Kurnool, Nellore, Srikakulam,
Kakinada, Kadapa, Ongole, Nalgonda, Nizamabad, Rajamandry, Suryapet,
Tadapalligudam, Kammam, Adhilabad & Mahaboobnagar. Anantapur is very large in
area and Hyderabad is very small. Basing on physical & social economical conditions
A.P. is divided in 3-regions are coastal Andhra, Rayalseema & Telangana.
Among these 23- districts Hyderabad is very famous for historical places.
A word About Hyderabad:
The historic beauty city is the capital of Andhra Pradesh. Originally Sultan
Mohammed QuliQutubShahi founded it. The 5th King of the QutubShahi Dynasty in 1590
A.D. at Golconda kingdom.
Formally Hyderabad was known as ‘BhagyaNagar’. This was named in sweet
memory of Sultan’s beloved Bhagmati. After her death, the name ‘Bhagyanagar’ had 2
or 3 changes and at last it was named as ‘HYDEARBAD DECCAN’
Hydearbad one of the beautiful city in the world. The 5th biggest city in India is
the capital of Andhra Pradesh In the entire area it has 13 gates, with serve as as exit and
entrance in to the picture sque city of Hyderabad.

Nehru Zoological park, Ravindhrabharathi, Birla planetarium, & QutibShahi Tombs.
1) CHARMINAR:
Charminar was built in 1591 A.D. When the foundation of the city
was being laid. It is magnificent square edifice built up on 4 granite arches facing
north, south, east & west. This square edifice in the heart of the city was constructed
with plaster and stone. Its foundation corners i.e. exactly towards the four cardinal
points, each side measuring 60.ft. in length & 12 ft in width its main buildings consist
of four splendid arches, one in each direction, measuring 24/40 ft. facing each are 4highways several stairs lead to the upper portion having 4 minarets (80 ft high) it is
proto type of Tazeya shape.
2) MACCA MAJID:
Built in 1614 on the south of charminar. Macca Masjid is
one of the finest monuments of oriental architecture & Islamic art and commemorates the
greatness & glory of kings of deccan. It is 225 ft in length 180 ft in breadth & 75 ft in
height & the sides of the Sq. Yards aer 300 ft. long the total building expenditure was 8
lakhs 10,000 persons can offer prayer at a time.
3) SALARJUNG MUSEUM:
Salarjung Museum is situated beside river musi on the
opposite of the state library.
The new building of the Salarjung Museum enshrines the love of beauty and refined
taste of art love that stands alone in the variety & vastness of his collection.
Specialty of this museum is the wall clock, which contains a beautiful doll in it. It
beats the bell according to the world as salarjung devoted his wealth and heisure to
gather art treasures from every walk of life. It has become a heritage, which ought to
be preserved for generation to come it is one of the eminent institution of education
and culture it is one of the worth seeing places of Hyderabad. The museum is divided
into different sections such as art, painting, culture, Status, Potteries, Glasswarejade,
Gold, Silver & Weapons of mughal. The Museum attracts thousands of tourists all
over world every year.
4) STATE MUSEUM:
This is situated in the public garden it was
established in 1930 & has nearly 15 sections containing Arms & weapons Bidri ware,
Jade collection Bronzes, Sculptures, Miniature, Manuscripts, Terracotta figurines,
prehistoric implements etc. The museum is rich particular in the collection of coins
right form the punch marked coins of the 4th centaury B.C. down to Neolithic period,.
The Museum has a mummy. One of the few Museum to have one the Sculpture
gallery consists of object right from the 2nd & 1st century B.C. up to the 10th century
A. D.
5) RAVINDRABHARATHI:
Hyderabad has famous National theatre called Ravindrabharathi.
The place has like variety entertainment dramatic performance musical concerts & dances
Ravindrabharathi also attracts large crowd due to its monthly programme scheme.
6) BIRLA MANDIR:
A New landmark in the Hyderabad is the marble temple lord
venkateshwara constructed by the Hindustan Charity Trust (Birla Foundation) About
1000 tons of marble worth Rs. 50lakhs was brought from makarana in Rajastan for
the Khajuraho style, the height of the main deity Sri Venkateshwara is 9.5 ft. it is
made granite it weights 8tons.
7) BIRLA PLANTORIUM:
The main and foremost objective for construction of a
planetarium by the special institution namely Hindustani Charitable Trust. This
institution as taken up the task of preserving spiritual value & relies of great Indian
Culture along with Scientific development.
8) HI-TECH CITY (CYBER TOWERS):
Hyderabad set to plunge into new millennium & is becoming the
information technology “Cyber bad” with the emergence of this “Hi-Techcity”. It
provides infrastructural facility like office space recreational zones & clubhouses.

9) NEHRU ZOOLOGICAL PARK:
Nehru zoological park is situated beside MuAlam

10) LUMBINI PARK:
This park is located near hussian sagar( Tank Bund) &
has a musical foundation in it which is switched on at 7.15pm 8.00 & 9.00 pm.
It is open to public on all days except. Monday which is a holiday the water
dances on the tunes of music and the lovely colours of light makes it a
heavenly sight which is not to be missed by a tourist.
11) GOLCONDAFORT:
The history of India from the conquest of north
India by Mohammed of ghus in 1192 A.D. To the beginning of Mughal Empire in
1526 A.D. the origin of golcaondafort can be traced to the earlier Hindu periods of
Deccan History.
Golconda is also known as the house of ‘Kohinoor’ fort has 87 semi circular bastions
which are ranged 50-70 ft high& 25-50ft in width.
Golconda had the great devot of Ramdasjail. In the region Abdul Hasan Tanah Shah.
Kanchrala gopanna better known as Ramdas was Tahsildes at Bhadrachalm. His hand
made idols of rama , lakshmana, sita and human which was made by ramdas at the
time of imprisonment are still present inside the jail
.
12) QUTUB SHAHI TOMBS:
About 3 four longs Northwest of Golconda fort surrounded
by a Flint garden called the “IbrahimBagh” are the tombs of QutubShahi tombs kings
and their relatives Hayat Bakshi Begum Nizamuddin premamti and others Half way
from Golconda fort to Qutub Shahi tombs. There is a dry tank. Here echoes are
heared when hands are clapped from the steps, which descend into the tank.
