HOLLIDAY HS SCHOLARSHIP POSTINGS The Wichita Falls Area Community Foundation offers the “Bingo Kinder Endowed Scholarship”. This is a scholarship that was established 4 years ago for graduating seniors in Archer County. We have had several students receive generous scholarships from this foundation and I strongly recommend that all of my students apply for this. The Elks National Foundation Most Valuable Student Scholarship – due January 9, 2009. Paper applications are available in my office. Micron Science and Technology Scholars Program – available for students going into a science related field. Application due January 19th (requirements are high for this one) Sheppard Officers’ Spouses’ Club Scholarship Award- must be a legal dependent of US Military personnel (active duty, retired or deceased, officer or enlisted) Due Feb. 2010 Texas Student Housing Scholarship- for students attending college in Austin, College Station, Denton or San Marcos. Application deadline January 31, 2010. Santa Rosa Telephone Cooperative Scholarship: Must be a member of the Santa Rosa telephone group (use their service). Burger King Scholars Program: must be a high school student with a GPA of 2.5 or higher, have a part time job (at least 15 hrs per week/40 weeks per yr), be actively involved in community service, have financial need & are planning to enroll in college or a tech school in the fall. ATPE Scholarships: Association of Texas Professional Educators Scholarships – local committee decision based on application and essay. ($500 - $250 per semester) PTO Scholarships: Parent Teacher Organization – local committee decision based on application and essay. ($500 - $250 per semester) Ramsey Looper Memorial Scholarship: Primary consideration for students who have been actively involved in FFA or agricultural studies throughout high school.
