Proximity Fuze Range Closed Very large fan extending east from a gun site near intersection of Lovelace and Target Road. This range was used during WWII to test proximity fuses on 5” navy rockets. The range is littered with UXO and inerts. Triple A Hill is heavily littered with live ordnance, mainly from shorts or antiaircraft fire. Additional ordnance (see DOE-SNL/ER list, Sites 6 and 7) include 5 in. shells, 75 mm ballistic shells, 105 mm and 155 mm dummy rounds, high explosive rounds, 5 in. rocket assisted projectiles, and hundreds of fuzes, many live.
