The following hymns are simply to give families a few ideas and/or starting points; there is no obligation to choose from this selection if another hymn is particularly dear to your family, or appropriate to the time of year. In general terms, the ‘best’ hymns tend to be the better known ones (everyone knows the words and tune), and not terribly long.
