This agreement is subject to the following conditions:
 Breeding and shipping fees must be paid along with a signed contract before any semen will be shipped or prior
to mare leaving the farm or clinic.
 Foal registration papers and breeding certificates will not be furnished until the mare owner’s account is in good
standing.
 It is the mare owner’s responsibility to call in advance of the planned breeding date to check the collection and
shipping schedule at the clinic. Normal collection days are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Special requests
can sometimes be honored. Your request for semen must be telephoned or faxed no later than 10:00 AM CST on
your scheduled collection day to meet shipping deadlines.
 The shipping container will be furnished by the clinic. All shipping charges will be paid by the mare owner and
must be paid prior to the shipment of semen.
 Each shipment will contain 1 or 2 doses at the discretion of the stallion manager. The fee for collection is $125.
Shipping is paid either C.O.D. or by Visa or Mastercard to Dr. Huck’s office for next day service. Linus Huck,
DVM, Inc. only assumes responsibility to ship semen in a viable condition at the time of collection to the mare
owner’s farm or other designated location. Linus Huck, DVM, Inc, assumes no responsibility for the loss of semen
viability or associated expense due to any delay in shipment, delay in airline schedules, or delay in courier
services beyond our control. A licensed veterinarian or an authorized technician must administer the semen on
the day of delivery or all live foal guarantees and return privileges shall be null and void.
 Live Foal Guarantee: Should the mare fail to produce a foal that stands and nurses, the mare owner shall be
entitled to rebreed the mare or substitute a mare. There will be no additional breeding fee for a rebreed, but
expenses shall apply. Failure to notify Linus Huck, DVM, Inc or Jim Holmes in writing within 2 weeks of an
untimely death shall result in the loss of the live foal guarantee and return privileges. This clause is also
binding in the case of abortion.
 The mare owner fully understands, authorizes, and assumes the risk inherent in breeding with the use of
transported semen. Mare owner also understands the risk of failure due to many variables and shall hold Linus
Huck, DVM, Inc. and the stallion owner harmless for any losses suffered due to an unsuccessful attempt at
conception.
 Holmes Farm, Linus Huck, DVM, Inc, or Jim Holmes shall not be liable for the death, sickness and/or accident,
including consequential damages caused to the mare and/or foal, and mare owner agrees to hold Holmes Farms,
Linus Huck, DVM, Inc. or any person associated with the same, harmless for any and all damages associated
herewith.
 This breeding contract is good for a period of 24 months and mares may be substituted for the mare on the
original contract in cases where the original mare proves to be infertile.
 State law requires that all equines transported in the state of Missouri have a one-year negative coggins test. It is
the mare owner’s responsibility to provide Linus Huck, DVM, Inc. with a copy of the coggins test at the time of
leaving the mare at the clinic. If one is not provided then one will be pulled at the owner’s expense.
 If mares are left at the clinic, Linus Huck, DVM, Inc. requires that all mares be current on vaccinations and
deworming, including but not limited to West Nile, EEE and Strangles.
