Dear Student
We look forward to welcoming you to Lancaster and Morecambe College.
The ENROLMENT for the Access Diploma courses will take place on
Friday 4th September in Room D283

For students aged 23 or under:
If you need to pay for the course, you need to bring the necessary means to pay or
proof of benefit, if appropriate.
All students need to bring some official ID e.g. driving licence, passport.
For students aged 24+:
If you are 24+ then you need to apply for a 24+ loan. This can be completed on line or if
you need some assistance then visit student services, at any time during August, for
help with the application. You must bring your passport with you. There will be staff
available on 28th to assist with this.
Please remember to bring along the following items with you for enrolment

Two emergency contact names and telephone numbers

 All students are expected to attend the induction day in September
 You will need to be in college from 10.00 to 3.00 for your induction day.
The free College bus will be running on both these days.
The induction will take place in D283
The induction day will include opportunities to
 meet tutors
 find out more about the subjects available to study
 make links with local universities
 familiarise yourself with college and its facilities
 finalise your timetable (If not already completed)
This will be a valuable day to find out more about the Access Diploma and the college and also
to find out what will be expected of you throughout the course.
It is essential that you attend for the induction day.
Please read the attached welcome information carefully, particularly the section on money; it
could be worth a free bus pass if you are not on the college bus route, free lunches or other
financial help whilst you are attending your course. You need to apply as soon as possible.
