Dear Valued West Marine Customer,
We would like to notify you of a voluntary safety recall by one of our suppliers, Dahon
California, Inc. (“Dahon”) in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Products Safety
Commission of the items listed above.
The hinge on the handlepost can crack, posing a fall hazard. There have been at least 25
reports of the handlepost hinge on these bicycles cracking, including one minor injury
involving scrapes and bruises. As a result, we are working with Dahon to voluntarily
take these products off the market.
Our records indicate that you purchased one or more of the above-mentioned products.
Please IMMEDIATELY stop using this product and contact Dahon at (800) 442-3511 or
visit their website at www.dahon.com. Dahon will help you locate their nearest location
for a free inspection and repair. Please do not return your product to West Marine as we
are not equipped to retrofit your product.

provide our cus-tomers with the safest boating experience possible, and always offer the
most current information regarding the products we sell.
