PUBLIC ASSISTANCE CELL

The Public Assistance Cell was established in HUDA to assist the public in HUDA area. The
functions of Public Assistance Cell are:1. To give the information about the HUDA activities
2. To guide the public by giving information about the layouts, building permissions, allotments, land
use certificates, etc.,
3. To sell the books / maps/ application forms pertaining to HUDA
4. To provide information about the Citizen Charter
5. To track the applications received under the Right To Information Act, 2005
6. To update the Website pertaining to Public Assistance Cell & Consulate Centre
7. To Collect the information about GOs pertaining to activities of HUDA
8. To guide the visitors in knowing the details of land use, permissions, etc.
THE CONSULATE CENTRE
With a view to introduce consulate approach in dealing with visitors or applicants coming to
HUDA, a Consulate Centre is opened on 31-1-2005. As being done in Consulates, where different
counters are installed for giving information to the applicants for VISAs, Counters are established in HUDA.
Two counters, viz., ‘A’ Counter for technical scrutiny(Planning section) and ‘B’ Counter for land ownership
aspects(land section) are setup in the main hall of HUDA for the convenience of the public (Applicants).
The main features are of this Consulate Centre are:1. Unlike previous practice of accepting the applications for layouts, building permissions, sub-divisions,
etc., once in a week, the applications are being accepted daily from 11-00 AM to 1-00 PM.
2. The Officers in the cadre of Assistant Planning Officer from the Planning Department and Tahsildars
cadre persons from Lands Section along with staff are posted to scrutinize the applications thoroughly.
3. The applicants will be directed, if necessary, to submit the documents that are required then and there
itself and need not wait for letter from HUDA.
4. If the documents are sufficient to process the application, the applicant is given acknowledgement with a
serial number. With that number, he can refer the file easily in HUDA.
5. In addition to the acknowledgement, a Counselling date is given, so that on that date he can ascertain the
latest stage of the case.
6. Acknowledgement slip contains a check list of documents so as avoid misplacing of documents by
HUDA.
7. The applicant is sure of what he has given to HUDA
8. The information on the latest stage from the different sections will reach the Consulate Centre to inform
the applicants.
9. If the applicant needs further clarifications on the stage of the case, the concerned officers will be called to
the Consulate Centre so that the applicant can be enlightened.
10. The Vice-Chairman and the Secretary will review the latest stages of the cases for any additional
instructions to serve the public in a better way and to achieve transparency in the administration of the
organization.

11. This is a continuous process and HUDA will take measures to improve the Consulate Centre.
