COMMUNITY PROGRAMS SECTION: CULTURE STATEMENT The Community Programs Section is located in the Road Safety Directorate, which is committed to the Public Service Code of Ethics, and to DTEI’s corporate values. The Directorate has also identified some specific values to guide the actions and behaviours of its people, which include: Focussing on the wellbeing of the community Taking responsibility for measurable and sustained outcomes Committing to respectful and meaningful relationships, and partnerships with others Creating a climate for change in road safety Delivering on our commitments Trust and integrity in all that we do. The Community Programs Section has further identified the ‘repetitive interactions’, ‘totems’ and decision making model required to shape its particular desired culture. DECISION MAKING Where possible and appropriate, explicit consensus is our preferred decision making model. When consensus cannot be achieved in a reasonable timeframe using inclusive processes, the Section Manager or relevant Coordinator / Team Leader will consult with staff and decide.
