GENERAL

A. COLLECTORS
Collectors:
Frame and Battens – Extruded aluminum frame and battens with architectural bronze
powder coated finish.
Back Sheet – 0.019” stucco embossed aluminum sheet (bronze) pop-rivited to aluminum
frame.
Corner Bracket – Architectural aluminum angles inside with aircraft grade pin grip rivets.
Insulation – Polyiscyanurate foam board insulation. Foil-faced glass fiber-reinforced,
rigid foam thermax sheathing ( 1 ¼”in bed / ¾ “ in sidewalls )
Absober Plate – 100% copper absorber plate, high frequency force welded to create a
crystalline homogeneous connection between the fin and riser tube. Thermafin or equal
absorber coating – Thermafin Manufacturing selective crystal clear coating a = 0.96 E =
0.08
Glazing – Low iron tempered glass with a total solar energy transmission of 90%.
Gasket, Grommets- UV durable EPDM, U-channel gasket with molded corners.
Extruded silicone grommet 11/8 “ bore. Fasteners – 5056 aluminum rivets secure with
backseat. Batten screws are 18-8 SS, 10-24x 3/8,” hex head screws black oxide coated.

E. CIRCULATORS
Circulator shall be of standard high capacity output (compact design) with direct drive –
low power consumption. Unit shall be self-lubricating with no mechanical seal.
Unit shall be equipped with an anti-condensate baffle (ACB), internal flow check (IFC)
priority zone relay and plumbing plug. Pre-wired timer control shall be by TACO or
EQUAL.
