Dear Miss Ohio Supporters:
Elissa is hard at work preparing to compete for the title of Miss America 2013! While the final night of
competition will be nationally televised on Saturday, January 12, 2013 on ABC, it’s much more exciting to
be there in person! The following information will help you with your plans to support Elissa at Miss
America in Las Vegas.
We have attached forms for you to use to order items such as show tickets, access badges, photo buttons,
and T-shirts and information for you to make your hotel accommodations if you are planning to stay at
Planet Hollywood or the Flamingo hotels. Please read everything very carefully and make sure to fill
out the necessary forms and submit them by the required deadline!
Host Hotel – Planet Hollywood & The Flamingo
Once again, Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas is hosting the Miss America Organization and
has partnered with MAO to bring you some amazing offers. Planet Hollywood is hip, modern & energetic –
and MAO is proud that it is home to the Miss America Pageant! The hotel is connected to the Theater for
the Performing Arts where the pageant is held and the Miracle Mile Shops with over 170 shops and 15
restaurants.
Since the Consumer Electronics Show is taking place in Las Vegas during the same time as The Miss
America Pageant, MAO has also made arrangement for special rates with The Flamingo Casino and Hotel.
Planet Hollywood and The Flamingo are both offering One (1) Free Buffet Coupon for up to Two people per
room for reservations from January 8 through January 12. This is One Buffet Coupon for the entire stay,
NOT one per day.

Based on single/double occupancy. For the 3rd & 4th person, there will be a $30 per person per night charge.
There is approximately 12% in taxes that will be added to the rates above.
To receive these Miss America State Delegation rates, you will need to make YOUR OWN HOTEL
RESERVATIONS by phone or online with the specific information below.
For reservations by phone, call 866-317-1829 and use the group code SMMIS3 for Planet Hollywood or
group code SFMIS3 for The Flamingo. For reservations online, visit PH.missohio.org for Planet Hollywood

When making your reservation, be sure to obtain your RESERVATION CONFIRMATION code. You will
need to include your Planet Hollywood or Flamingo hotel confirmation code when ordering tickets below for
priority seating.
You are also welcome to take advantage of other deals, offers or airfare/hotel bundles but be sure to get a
specific Plant Hollywood or Flamingo confirmation code to receive priority seating tickets.
The Miss Ohio Scholarship Program is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization
Miss America Show Tickets
The Miss America on stage preliminary competitions will take place on Tuesday, Wednesday and
Thursday, January 8, 9, and 10 with the finals taking place on Saturday, January 12.
Tickets are $75 per night for preliminary competitions and $150 for Saturday’s final night competition.
Season tickets for all four nights may be purchased for $275.
Miss Ohio ticket orders will be grouped together; however the groups will not be seated together. They will
be grouped and prioritized in the following order:
Block A – Those staying at Planet Hollywood/Flamingo & purchasing season tickets.
Block B – Those staying at Planet Hollywood/Flamingo & purchasing single night tickets.
Block C – Those NOT staying at Planet Hollywood/Flaming & purchasing season tickets.
Block D – Those NOT staying at Planet Hollywood/Flamingo & purchasing single night tickets.
For each room reservation at Planet Hollywood or Flamingo for at least three nights beginning Thursday,
January 9 (or earlier) through Saturday, January 12, you may order four (4) season tickets and they will be
in Block A. While additional tickets may be purchased, the additional tickets may be located in another
seating block.
For each room reservation at Planet Hollywood or Flamingo for only one or two nights, Friday the 11th and
Saturday the 12th or only Saturday the 12th, you may purchase up to four(4) Saturday Only tickets that will
be located in Block B. While additional Saturday Only Tickets may be purchased, the additional tickets
may be located in another seating block.
Tickets purchases are non-refundable!
Access Badges
Elissa will be extremely busy while competing to become Miss America and there are very few
opportunities to see her other than from a distance when she is onstage. If you would like to attend the
visitation after the show each night (Tue, Wed, Thu & Sat) to see and speak with Elissa, you must have a
Miss America Photo Identification Badge. The Badge will also allow you to attend the open rehearsals in
the theater and the Miss America trade show at the hotel.
Badges may be ordered for $40. If a badge is lost, it will cost $55 to have it replaced during Miss America
week.
If you had a badge in the last two years (January 2011 or 2012) Miss America will have your photo on file.
If not, you will need to email a HEADSHOT photo (at least 300x300 pixels) to info@missohio.org when
submitting your “On to Miss America” forms.
When ordering a badge, you will need to indicate one of the following affiliations:
State Committee – For all Miss Ohio state board members and state volunteers, their spouses and
their children 21 years of age and older.
Local Committee – For all Miss Ohio local pageant committee members and local volunteers, their
spouses and their children 21 years of age and older.
Family & Friends – For Elissa McCracken’s family, friends and friends of the family, including children
21 years of age and older.
Access Badges (continued)
Guest – For sponsors and guests who contribute to any part of the Miss Ohio Program, former Miss
Ohio’s, their spouses and their children 21 years of age and older.
Special Guest – For State and Local Contestants currently eligible to compete, children ages six
through twenty and Special Guests that may not be permitted to attend certain functions due to age
restrictions or possible future judging conflicts.
Children five years of age and under do not require a badged but must be accompanied by an adult
wearing a badge at all times.
Badges may NOT be shared at any time. Anyone caught sharing a badge will have it revoked
immediately.
Friday Night Event
Miss America typically holds a fundraising event on Friday evening of pageant week, which will be January
11, 2013. The details for the event are not available at this time but for the last few years the contestants
have participated in this event and have been able to sit with their families. Ticket prices have ranged
between $100 and $500. We will distribute the information when it becomes available.
T-Shirts & Photo Buttons
Show your Ohio support by ordering a Miss Ohio Photo Button and T-Shirt featuring Elissa McCracken.
We will schedule a time in the morning on Friday, Jan. 11, or Saturday, June 12, for everyone supporting
Miss Ohio to get together for our traditional group photo.
Deadline
ALL forms and payments MUST be received by Saturday, August 15, 2012 to be a part of our Miss Ohio
Group.
For any orders that are received AFTER August 15, 2012, we will be submitting a SECOND order to Miss
America on September 30 and a FINAL order on October 30. However, these ticket orders will not be
seated with any of the people in the blocks described above.
Incomplete forms or submissions without payment in full will not be processed.
Ordering Instructions
Each person attending MUST submit a “Miss America Trip Order Form” below (one form per person). This
form will be used to gather your contact information, order tickets, badges, photo buttons, T-shirts, etc.
All items ordered on this form must be paid by check made out to: MOSP.
If you are staying at Planet Hollywood or The Flamingo, DON’T FORGET TO INCLUDE YOUR
RESERVATION CONFIRMATION CODE.

You will receive an e-mail confirming that we have received your forms.
Once we receive additional information from Miss America, we will follow up with an e-mail with instructions
on picking up your items, a schedule of events, group photo information, etc. We will have “office hours” at
Planet Hollywood when you can pick up your items.
