County, South Carolina, and died December 10, 1906 in Anderson County, South
Carolina. He married MARY BOWEN HUNT December 22, 1846 in Greenville, South
Carolina, daughter of WILLIAM HUNT and ELIZABETH BOWEN. She was born November
24, 1830 in Greenville, South Carolina, and died October 20, 1899.
Notes for JOSHUA JAMESON:
The legal records of Pickens County show that he had property in that county prior to the
War between the States. His war record begins on January 17, 1862 when he was First
Sergeant. He was promoted to Second Lieutenant o n February 1, 1862; to Captain on
May , 1862; and discharged on October 15, 1862 because of poor health.

When Ida was very young she fell in love with Ezekiel Long, an attorney of Anderson, SC.
Ida's father Joshua did not approve of the match and forbid Ida to see Ezekiel, Ezekiel
married another woman. After a time her father died and Ezekiel's wife pasted away also.
Ida and Ezekiel married in 1909 when she was 43. He died nine month after their marriage,
however Ida said that he was the only man that she ever loved and to hear her talk you
