SPEAKER “Once upon a time in the middle ages the French knight, Jean and the Italian prince, Guglielmo
met with princess Europe in the castle of Haut Koenigsbourg in the Alasatian mountains.”

Scene 1 dramatis personae: Italian knight Guglielmo delle Faville; French knight Jean; princess; maiden
6 DIALOGUE
Maiden: Dear Princess, two knights would be honored if they could speak to you. One came far away from Syracuse,
he is Lord Guglielmo delle Faville. The other is from Mulhouse, Jean……
Would you listen to them?
Princess: Yes, I will listen to them. Let the Italian knight enter first.
Guglielmo: My dear Princess, gorgeous Europe!! I need to tell you something.
Princess: So, tell me.
Guglielmo: I’ve been waiting for this moment for all my life. I love…
Jean: (walks over the stage) What the hell are you doing. Who said, you could talk to my Lady this way?
Princess: Your Lady??? I’m not yours!
Guglielmo: In fact, she’s mine.
Princess: I’m not yours either! I’ve never loved you, how can you say that?!?!
Jean: Get out of here, or my sword will show you the way out.
Guglielmo: So, show me.
(They fight. During the fight the princess is killed)
Maiden: Good Lord!! What have you done?!
Jean: It wasn’t me! It was you!
Guglielmo: It doesn’t matter any more. We must find a solution.

“So you see, minds and opinions about Europe were in confusion,
Not only in the past,
But even nowadays we have delusion,
And everyone thinks, he is the best.
Now, how will our heroes safe the princesses’ life.”

10 SPEAKER: “The king is coming” with picture 11

12 Scene 2: dubbing scene DIALOGUE
King: “Welcome to the dubbing ceremony, we are together today, because we need brave knights to search and to
find this holy grail. Now, we will begin the dubbing.”
Knights: “Yes, sir!”
King: “With this sword, I give you access to the highest level created by God. This is the knight order which allows
nothing evil. Brothers, remember that if you have to fight, and if your opponent gives up, you have to forgive him
and not to kill him. Don’t speak too much, you could sin. I ask you to help all those you can. You will behave well.
And finally, don’t forget to pray and to behave like a good Christian. Do you swear it?”
Knights: “I swear it!!”
(The King makes the sign of the cross on them with his sword)
King: “Good luck and God bless you.”

15 Scene 3 (round table) DIALOGUE
Knights come to the table; king comes in and opens the conversation:
King: “Welcome, knights. Today is a very big day, because we have a very important mission. We have to find the
grail. That’s the only way to save the life of the princess. Any ideas?”
(Every knight starts talking in his own language.)
King: “STOP TALKING! Silence! We have to make a plan. So, my dear knights. Tell me. Where could the grail be? The
German knights will speak first.”

German knight (jumps up and shouts): “I know where the grail is! It’s in Germany!! In the Lake Senftenberg!”
Other German knight: “Or in the Spreewald”
All other knights: “NO!!!”
One French knight: “ It can’t be in Germany, which is in the centre of Europe.”

Other French knight: “The grail lies at Mont Saint Michel or in Strasbourg’s Cathedral”
One knight from Norther Ireland: “Mourne Mountains or Lough sea are possible places, too.”
Italian knight: (doesn’t agree) “ The Vatican is a beter place for the grail.”
(Knights speak to each other. An old man comes into the room)
Old man “ I know where the grail is. It’s a religious place. The oldest place for Christianity in Europe. Think about
that.”
(Knights speak to each other.)
King: “How can we be sure? We will send knights to every possible place.”

“Here our heroic knights they stand
In front of the problem, head in their hand
Gathered ‘round a table to win their final game
But even nowadays it would be the same
Whatever the crisis looks like
Alone we fall, together we strike.”

21 SPEAKER “ We meet our knights again in Northern Ireland , asking a fortune teller for help to find the grail”
22 Scene 3b: The grail and the pilgrims’ return DIALOGUE
1st part:
Knights: (They are in Northern Ireland and they are talking to the Fortune Teller)
“We are looking for the holy grail and we have been to France and Germany without success, but we need
the holy grail to bring back the princess to life.”
Fortune Teller: “ I can tell you where the grail is, but in return you will give the first born child from the princess.”
Knights: “ It shall be as you like it.”
(The Fortune Teller looks into the magic crystal ball and tells the knights where the holy grail is.)
Fortune Teller: “ The holy grail is buried in the catacombs of Syracuse, under the first Christian church in Europe. “

grail in their hands”

2nd part:
(The pilgrims are returning to France and each person has brought back a flag from his own country. The King is
leading the group and takes care of the holy grail.)

30 Final scene DIALOGUE
(Princess lying on the floor and her maiden besides her)
Maiden: “ Oh what a happy day; my princess will wake up again.”
(The knights bring the grail to the princess and hold it over her body. Lights leave the holy grail and enter the
princess’s body. Princess’s body contracts as the lights enter her body. She jumps up opening her eyes and gasping
for breath. The princess looks around in confusion, while the knights are standing around her)
(The princess starts asking questions and the knights explain the story. They exaggerate the story, trying to impress
her. She’s in shock, but not impressed.)
Princess: “What happened to me? What’s going on here?”
1st .knight: “oh my dear princess, we have been everywhere to find the Holy Grail to bring you back to life.. but now,
please choose the knight you want to marry..”
2nd .knight: “I have killed a monster!”
1st knight: “No, I have killed the monster!!”
Maiden: “Stop! please!! dear princess, which knight will you marry?”
Knights: “ Yes, dear Princess, which knight will you marry?”
Princess: (looks around in deliberation) “ My dear knights, thank you for all you did but I won’t marry none of
them.”
Knights: “ Why “( and they begin to sing James Blunt’s GOOD BYE MY LOVER.)
Princess: “ Because…” ( and she sings SINGLE LADIES and everybody dances).
