Values Blueprint.
During July we are looking back at our values from this academic year. Last week in assembly we thought
about Understanding, Cooperation and Thoughtfulness and what these values mean to us in our lives in
school and at home. We talked about how we can show understanding and cooperate with each other
and we reflected on the new rule Jesus gave us. Jesus said, “I’m going to give you a new rule.
It’s this: Love one another. I love each one of you, and I want you to love each other. When you’re all
happy together, everyone will know that you love one another, and that you are my friends.” (Based on
John 13:34-35.)
Term Dates 2013-14
Just a reminder about the term and holiday dates for the next academic year. Please note that we are
having a shorter holiday at Easter but a two week break at the Summer (Whit) half term. As you are
aware holidays taken during term time will now not be authorised under any circumstances, so please
plan holidays with term dates in mind.
Literacy Trust Event.
On Tuesday afternoon, children from Year 4, 5 and 6 had their final event in the Literacy Trust Reading
Project. The children had a marvellous ‘book picnic’ in our school courtyard. They had the opportunity to
choose their 3rd book and to read and relax whilst enjoying an ice lolly.
Breakfast Club.
 Opens at 8am each morning; children should not be dropped off before this time.
 The cost is £1.00 per day or £4.50 per week whether your child is having breakfast or not.
 Breakfast is served between 8am and 8.30am.
Year 6 Photographs.
A group photograph is available to view and/ or purchase in the school office. These photographs are
beautifully presented in an informal style and are lovely mementos of the children’s time in our school.
IMPORTANT REMINDER.
Dogs are not allowed on the school premises, including the playground, as they present a potential
health and safety risk. Thank you for you cooperation in this matter.
As always, thank you for your continued support.
