COLLEGE OF SOCIAL AND BEHAVIORAL SCIENCES – item unanimously approved. 1. POS 159 – Introduction to Environmental Inquiry – Course Change- title B. COLLEGE OF FINE ARTS – item unanimously approved with a change to the minor requirements to 18-24 hours required. 1. B.S. Ed in Theater – Program Change C. COLLEGE OF HEALTH PROFESSIONS – items 1-6 unanimously approved. Item 7 approved with a W added to the HP 305 course. Item 8 unanimously approved. Items 9-10, and 12-19 were approved 13 to 2, with the following caveat – “that program submits more detailed syllabi, emailed to complete committee, to ensure syllabi meet concerns raised.” Item 20 approved with a change to the last sentence in the third paragraph to read: “Students pursuing professional school should complete CHM 151 and 151L.” Item 11 was removed from the agenda. 1. Junior Level Writing Course and Senior Capstone Course – what is the policy for completing these courses with a second degree. – item removed from agenda. F. Creation of a "University Course" course prefix for use by any academic unit on campus. The prefix would be different than the current "University Course Lines" in that the "UC" designator would appear on a student's transcript. Approval of "UC" course with University Course line numbers would NOT need UCC approval; other course numbers would. Credit for enrollment in these new UC courses would be distributed back to the originating academic unit. Group discussion was not in favor of a general “UC” prefix. The discussion was postponed for the College of Business to bring to UCC on an individual basis. II. DISCUSSION ITEM A. Solar Representative from the Student Records Team on the University Curriculum Committee – Patrick Martin Janet Heinrichs will attend UCC meetings as the Solar Representative from the Student Records Team for informational purposes only.
