Non-Civil Service Vacancy
Salary: $8,500 per month
Post (1): Summer Intern (Public Relations)
Entry Requirements: Applicants (a) must be permanent residents of the Hong Kong
Special Administrative Region who are currently full-time students of post-secondary
institutions in Hong Kong or overseas; (b) must be second/third year students of
Bachelor degree course majoring in Mass Communication, Journalism, Public Relations
or Translation; (c) should have attained Level 3/Grade C or above in Chinese Language
and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination
(HKDSEE) or Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) or equivalent
(see Note); (d) have sound knowledge of Chinese MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and
Chinese word processing; and (e) have good communication skills in both Chinese and
English.
Note: ‘Grade C’ and ‘Grade E’ in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in
the HKCEE before 2007 are accepted administratively as comparable to ‘Level 3’ and
‘Level 2’ respectively in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and
henceforth.
Duties: (a) To provide PR support to promote library and film programmes and/or (b) to
provide assistance in record management, including updating database.
Post (2): Summer Intern (Audit)
Entry Requirements: Applicants (a) must be permanent residents of the Hong Kong
Special Administrative Region; (b) are current students of full-time undergraduate
programmes in post-secondary institutions; (c) will enter their final year of
undergraduate programmes after the summer of 2013 and major in Accountancy; (d)
have sound knowledge of Chinese MS Office such as Word, Access and Excel; and (e)
have good communication skills in both Chinese and English.
Duties: To assist in performing internal auditing duties.

Post (3): Summer Intern (Supplies)
Entry Requirements: Applicants (a) must be permanent residents of the Hong Kong
Special Administrative Region who are currently full-time students of post-secondary
institutions in Hong Kong or overseas; (b) must be second/third year students of
Bachelor degree course majoring in Business Administration, Procurement, Logistics or
equivalent; (c) have sound knowledge of Chinese MS Word and Excel; and (d) have good
communication skills in both Chinese and English.
Duties: (a) To handle annual review of suppliers’ tender/quotation response and update
the Supplies Management Systems; and/or (b) to assist in data checking after data
conversion of computerised systems.
Post (4): Summer Intern (Training)
Entry Requirements: Applicants (a) must be permanent residents of the Hong Kong
Special Administrative Region who are currently full-time students of post-secondary
institutions in Hong Kong or overseas; (b) must be second/third year students of
Bachelor degree course majoring in Computing Science; (c) should have attained Level
2/Grade E or above in Chinese Language, English Language and Mathematics in the
Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or Hong Kong
Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) or equivalent (see Note); (d) have sound
knowledge of Chinese MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint; (e) have a minimum English word
processing speed of 30 words per minute and knowledge of Chinese word processing;
and (f) have good communication skills in both Chinese and English.

Posts (1) & (4)
Terms of Employment: The period of employment is from July to September 2013.
Participants are normally required to work 44 hours per week and may also be required
to work outside normal office hours, during weekends or public holidays. Overtime
work, where necessary, will be compensated by time-off in lieu.

How to Apply: (a) Hong Kong students studying in local post-secondary institutions
should apply through the Student Affairs Offices/Career Centres of their respective
institutions and they are advised to note the deadlines set by the respective
institutions.
Applications submitted directly to Leisure and Cultural Services
Department will not be considered. (b) Students studying in non-local post-secondary
institutions should complete an application form which is available at the Civil Service
