Publix Supermarket Offers Free Prescription Drugs to the Public Publix Supermarket announced recently that they are providing free oral antibiotics to the public. Publix pharmacists will dispense up to a 14-day supply of these prescriptions per doctor’s script. Drugs on the program’s list account for about 50% of the generic pediatric prescriptions filled at the Publix Pharmacy. Publix, however, will provide the free prescriptions to customers of all ages. Currently, there are no limits on the number of scripts filled under the program.
