3RD ANNUAL FREDERICK CITY SENIOR
AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP

ELIGIBILITY: The Frederick City Senior Amateur Championship is open to all amateur golfers holding a
current USGA Index from a PGA recognized facility. Applicants must be 50 years of age or older on or
before midnight of August 2nd, 2015. Entrants will be required to provide verification of handicap
and age with application.
COMPETITION: The Senior Amateur is an 18 hole stroke play event. There will be sudden death playoff
in the event of a gross score tie to determine the 2015 Senior Amateur Overall Champion. Net ties within
each flight will be decided by card match.
FLIGHTS: Players will be divided by flight according to age and for net scoring purposes. The first flight
will encompass ages 50-59 and second flight will include ages 60-69. All players 70 and above will make
up the third flight. First and second flights play from the white tees and the third flight plays from the green
tees. If a player in the third flight (net only) opts to compete for the overall senior championship, that player
must play in the second flight from the white tees. Otherwise he will be competing for net score only.
PRIZES: Net winners in each flight will be awarded prizes in the form of gift certificates. The number of
players in each flight will determine the number of net score prizes to be awarded. The Overall 2014
Senior Amateur Champion will be that player with the lowest gross score from the first and second flights
and will receive a trophy and gift certificate.
ENTRIES: The entry fee of $80.00 includes one 18 hole green fee, cart, and prizes. Skins are optional
charges. Entry fee in the form of cash or check must accompany the application. Checks can be made out
to Clustered Spires Golf Club or to the City Of Frederick. Deadline for applications is Tuesday, July 28th.
Along with payment, applicants must also include handicap and age verification. Starting times can be
obtained on or after July 30th. Requests for pairings or tee times will not be permitted.
RULES: USGA Rules will govern all play except for modified local rules. It is the responsibility of the
player to be familiar with the local rules and conditions of competition. Any player withdrawing from the
event after the entry deadline and prior to the start of the event will receive the entry fee in the form of a
gift certificate of $85.00 good for merchandise and/or rounds of golf.
