CSA VIP AUTHENTICATION:
The CSA VIP Authentication is an “in-person” authentication service offered by CSA Comics, LLC
and is ONLY offered at one of our special appearance events and comic conventions. This
service provides you with an opinion from our Signature Authenticators on the authenticity of the
signature(s) of your comic book or collectible.
The service is done in-person and covers side by side signature comparison against genuine
comic book artist signatures from our CSA Comics Signature Library. The comic book or
collectible will undergo a detailed inspection of the signature’s handwriting characteristics such
as initial and terminal stroke formation, spacing, slant, letter formations, line quality,
measurement of slant, proportions, connections, patterns, drag, position, unique characteristics,
etc…
As documentation, you will get a Letter of Authentication (LOA), a Certificate of Authenticity
(COA), a Letter of Evidence (LOE) and the Letter of Visual Inspection (LVI). All of these
documents will be signed by the CSA Signature Authenticator and feature a hidden logo design
that is only visible under black light. As an additional security feature, the Letter of
Authentication will also be signed and stamped by a Notary and contain a unique serialized alphanumeric sticker (with a scan-capable barcode) that is assigned to your comic book/collectible.
The Letter of Visual Inspection covers ink and medium visual inspection, object evaluation using
magnification, signature pressure inspection, Infrared inspection and UV inspection (to test for
erasures, tracing, editing, discoloration, etc…).
CSA VIP AUTHENTICATION includes:











Letter of Authentication
Certificate of Authenticity
Letter of Evidence with CSM as to why your signature(s) is genuine
Letter of Visual Inspection with UV and Infrared test results.
Location of authentication
Hand signed by the CSA Signature Authenticator
LOA is signed and stamped by a Notary
12 digit alpha-numeric serial number with barcode
Security logo design visible under black light
A full color image of you comic book or collectible is permanently filed online
History of the current owner(s) is permanently filed online
The cost for the CSA VIP Authentication is $25.00 plus $4.50 for shipping. Multiple autographs on
one comic book or collectible, are $25 for the first signature and $10 per additional autograph.
Each autographed item will receive one Certificate of Authenticity, one Letter of Authentication,
one Visual Inspection Letter, and each signature will receive its own individual Letter of Evidence
with CSM.
To submit your comic book (or signed collectible) you must bring your item to
one of our special event appearances or conventions.

The CSA VIP Authentication can take 2 to 3 weeks.

CSA VIP AUTHENTICATION UPGRADE!
If you already purchased (and received) the CSA Collectors Authentication service, you can
upgrade to the CSA VIP Authentication when you visit us at one of our special appearance events
or conventions. Simply bring in your signed comic book or collectible with your accompanying
CSA Collectors Authentication Certificate of Authenticity, Letter of Authentication and Letter of
Evidence….We will then perform the in-person inspection and provide you with your signed Letter
of Visual Inspection while you wait and at NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE!!!!
*** Please note that the Free Letter of Visual Inspection only applies to signatures listed on your
CSA Collectors Authentication documents.
*** The Free Letter of Visual Inspection does not apply to newly added signatures that are not
noted on the CSA Collectors Authentication documents.
*** If you want to have NEW signatures updated to your authentication paperwork, then there will
only be a $10 charge per additional autograph plus $4.95 for shipping…. since we would need to
void the old serial number (and old documents), reissue a new serial number, update the online
photo, reissue a NEW Certificate of Authenticity, reissue a NEW Letter of Authentication, reissue a
NEW Letter of Evidence for each signature, and then you will get the FREE Letter of Inspection to
cover all the signatures. Once the NEW authentication is completed, we will mail your new and
updated authentication documents.
The CSA VIP Authentication and update, can take 2 to 3 weeks.
*** If you want us to do the Letter of Inspection on ONLY the signature(s) listed in
your CSA Collectors Authentication documentation, then we will be happy to
provide you with a Letter of Inspection (on ONLY the signature(s) that match the
CSA Collectors Authentication documentation) at NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE!
